After hanging up the phone, Cherise turned on the TV and lazily leaned back on the couch, holding the large white rabbit pillow that Morris had bought for her.
Maybe she was too tired today because shortly after starting to watch TV, her eyes slowly closed, and she fell asleep, nestled against the rabbit pillow,

Cherise felt something, opened her eyes, and gave a lazy smile when she saw it was Morris. She said, “You’re back?”
Before Morris could respond, Cherise smuggled deeper into his embrace, found a cozy spot, and fell back asleep.
Morris chuckled softly, gently placing her on the bed and covering her with a blanket.
The next day, Cherise woke up again in Morris’s embrace, still held tightly by him.
Cherise opened her eyes, looked around, and thought, ‘Once again, I’m in room 2602. Last night, through the haze of sleep. she vaguely saw Morris carrying her to bed,
It seemed Cherise had fully let down her guard with Morris. Cherise spaced out for a moment before snapping back to reality.
Recalling Morris’s reminder from yesterday. Cherise didn’t dare to move recklessly this time. She just gently lifted his hand. However, as soon as she lifted it, Morris turned around and held her hand tightly.
Burying his face in her hair, Morris took a deep breath and spoke with a husky morning voice, “Cherise, stay with me a little longer, okay? Or I can join you for a morning workout.”
Cherise chuckled softly and turned to face Morris, “Are you trying to spoil me, Morris? If you keep indulging me like this and I don’t exercise, I’ll get chubby.”
She touched her waist and said, “I think I’ve gained an inch around my waist.”
Hearing this, Morris touched Cherise’s waist, gently squeezing it Really? Let me check. Nope, it’s still super slim.”
Cherise burst into laughter, wriggling like a worm as Morris playfully pinched her waist.

“Come on. Get up. I’ll join you for a morning jog. With that, Morris sat up straight
Cherise also sat up, wrapping her arms tightly around Morris from behind. “What suddenly makes you want to go jogging with me?‘”
Morris held her small hands wrapped around his waist. “It’s normal for a boyfriend to join his girlfriend for a morning jog. especially when my girlfriend is this stunning. I wouldn’t feel comfortable letting you go alone.”
Cherise gave a sweet smile from behind Morris, “True. Let’s go.”

After a quick freshen–up. Morris took Cherise out for a jog, starting a busy day.
Then, Morris prepared a loving breakfast for Cherise.
On the table, Morris looked at Cherise and pulled a jewelry box but of his pocket, handing it to her.
Cherise, who was sipping on some risotto, paused when she saw the fancy box. “Huh?”
She put down her spoon and met Morris’s eyes. “What’s this?”
“It’s a gift for you. Open it and take a look,” Morris said gently.
Cherise was surprised and delighted. She took the box and opened it to find a necklace.
The pendant of the necklace was a heart shape, glimmering slightly, lively, and beautiful. She couldn’t deny it was exactly her style.
“Do you like it?” Morris asked softly.
Cherise gave a gentle smele and nodded. “Yes, I really like it. Thank you.”
Seeing how delighted Cherise was, Morris said, “Cherise, Hugh told me what happened with you in Hamolica the other day.”
Cherise quickly looked up, with a slightly guilty expression. Hugh worked for Morris, so there was nothing wrong with being honest with him.
Morris, I actually know some self–defense,” she said, meeting Morris’s gaze.
Morris smiled softly and nodded, “I know my girl is remarkable, but just in case…
He didn’t finish before Cherise cut in seriously. “There’s no just in case, Morris. Trust me.”
Morris was amused by Cherise’s seriousness.

“I don’t want to hear about you being in danger from others after it happens. If needed, just tell me what you want to do, and I can help you get it done too, alright?” Morris added.
Morris seemed a bit humbled when he said this, leaving Cherise unsure. “Huh? You don’t need to do this, Morris.”
Cherise thought, ‘Besides, there are some things I really have to handle on my own.

Seeing Cherise’s reluctance, Morris gently patted her head and said, “How about this? Choose between the necklace or me driving you to school every day, okay?”
Cherise had an uncomfortable feeling like being wrapped tightly in a protective layer.
