Chapter 147
Hugh watched the photo drift to the floor and bent down to pick it up.
He glanced out of the corner of his eye and paused for a moment
He thought, “Why do the cars in this photo look so familiar?
The next second, his eyes widened. They were the same models that had followed them in Hamolica, and the cars in the photo didn’t have license plates either.
Hugh stood up and asked Justin beside him, “The cars in this photo–are they also related to this Felix you mentioned?” Justin glanced at it. “That’s right, these are the cars used by the bodyguards under Felix’s command.”
Morris noticed Hugh’s strange behavior and spoke in a cold tone, Hugh, what’s on your mind? If it’s about Cherise, you’d better tell me every single word.

Then, Hugh told Morris every detail about what happened that day in Hamolica without leaving anything out.
Morris listened, staring intently at Hugh, his eyes full of coldness.
Immediately after, he swiftly moved to the computer nearby and he quickly tapped across the keyboard.
A few seconds later, the screen displayed Roy’s personal profile.
The Dark Web Division showed that the last time Roy appeared on surveillance, he was being taken by a group of people in black to Felix’s private location. Mandy and Felix were also spotted on camera with him, and then Roy disappeared from all records.
Morris’s mind raced as he tracked Mandy’s activities. She seemed to visit Hamolica’s CareVille Nursing Home every few months.
It seemed the relationship between Roy and Mandy was quite complicated
Given Felix’s methods, it was surprising Roy hadn’t been killed yet. He probably held some crucial secret about either Mandy or Felix.
Morris frowned slightly and wondered, Cherise was likely trying to get some information from Roy, but what exactly could it be? Could it be that…?

Justin nodded. “Yes.

Morris let out a cold snort, a hint of bloodlust flickering in his eyes. “I have my own methods.”
Matters concerning Cherise’s safety couldn’t be taken lightly. He would have to take action himself.
He stood up and walked over. As he passed by Hugh, Morris paused and said. “The things that Ms. Leach instructed you not to tell me. You don’t have to tell me, as long as it makes her happy.
“However, if it involves her safety, you must inform me immediately.”
Hugh found himself in a difficult position, but he nodded. “Yes, understand.”
After receiving Hugh’s response, Morris walked out without looking back.
When Cherise returned to Glenshire Gardens, it was already after 9 PM. After washing up, she hurried over to apartment 2602 to find Morris.
Upon opening the door, she discovered it was dark inside. It seemed that Morris hadn’t returned yet.
Just as Cherise was thinking about heading back to apartment 2601, her phone rang. It was Morris calling
Cherise put the call on speaker and answered. “Hello.”
Adeep, magnetic voice came through the phone. “Cherise, are you home yet?”
“Yeah, I’m back I was actually looking for you, but you weren’t home, Cherise replied softly.
“Alright, good girl. Don’t wander off. Stay home and wait for me, okay?” Morris coaxed her like he was soothing a child. “Okay, I’ll be waiting at 2602 for you to come back”
After hanging up, Morris appeared to be a bit anxious. He had changed out of his dark green uniform into his usual black shirt and black pants
Dark Web Division was nearly 60 kilometers from Glenshire Gardens, and Morris pressed the gas pedal harder, eager to get back to see Cherise.
He even started thinking about keeping her by his side all the time.
