Chapter 124
Cherise and her group returned to GlobalVision Group.
Dora signaled Jason to distract Hugh while she drove Cherise and Roy, who was still in the trunk, to the underground
garage.
Hugh, taken to the office by Jason for coffee, looked puzzled. He asked, “Hey, man, why’d you bring me here? Where’s Ms. Leach and the others?”
Jason looked serious as he spoke, “How would I know about girls stuff?”
Hugh chuckled sheepishly and said, “That’s right.”
Hugh stared at Jason for a while and asked, “Hey, buddy, not to mention, you and Ms. Leach seem a bit alike, but I can’t quite pinpoint where.
“Anyway, you’re both good–looking, and you really are handsome!”
Hugh grinned and scratched his head.
When Jason heard Hugh say he and Cherise looked alike, he looked up, and he straightened his back unconsciously, but quickly returned to normal.
With a straight face, Jason replied to Hugh, “Sorry, I’m straight!”
Without waiting for Hugh to respond, Jason added, “I need to get to work.” Then he walked away.
Hugh was left there with an awkward expression.
Meanwhile, Dora drove straight down to the third underground level of the GlobalVision Group garage, a place hardly anyone knew about.
Crow stood quietly in front of a massive white door on the third basement level, patiently waiting.
With the sound of tires screeching against the floor growing closer, a few seconds later, a white business van appeared.
Dora and Cherise stepped out of the van.
“It’s just the two of you? I thought I was coming to help with something?” Crow asked, puzzled.
Cherise glanced at the trunk and said, “In the trunk. Give us a hand!”
Crow nodded and walked to the back of the car, opening the trunk.
The next second, he exclaimed, “Ugh, what a disgusting rotten stench! Is it a person or a ghost? No way, I can’t carry this. I’m scared. You should handle it.”
Then Crow ran over to Cherise and hugged her arm.
Dora rolled her eyes at him.
“A computer with the latest gear,” Cherise remarked calmly.
Hearing this, Crow slowly let go of Cherise’s arm, brushed his bangs out of his eyes, and said, “As a young man with dreams and goals, how can I let you two young ladies do this heavy work?
“Let me do it! I’ll handle it!”

After that, Crow took two tissues from his pocket, stuffed them in his nostrils, and, with effort, lifted Roy out of the trunk.
“Where to, Boss? Hurry up! I can’t hold on!” Crow pleaded with Cherise as he carried Roy.

Cherise placed her finger on the fingerprint lock and unlocked it.
When the white door opened, a 400 hallway in white and blue came into view.
On both sides of the corridor were setoms of the same size, each labeled differently.
There was a Laboratory, Disinfection Room, Consultation Room Operating Room, Rehabilitation Room, and Lounge.
It resembled a small–scale hospital.
“Carry him inside and put him in the operating room. Then help me out!” Cherise instructed Crow.

“What? Do I have to help too?” Crow grumbled but carried Roy in obediently.
A few minutes later, they both changed into sterile gowns and entered the operating room.
Roy had already been placed on the operating table by Crow. After the bumpy ride, his face, already pale, now had a tinge of blue and green.
If it weren’t for the faint blip of the heart monitor, they would think he was dead.
Cherise glanced at Roy and then spoke to Crow, “Get the automatic stomach pump ready.”
Crow replied, “Sure.” Then he quickly moved the stomach pump over and plugged it in.
Cherise turned on the switch, checked the pump’s functions, and skillfully connected the medication and drainage tubes.
She then instructed, “Come here and pry his mouth open!”
Crow, with a look of disdain, followed the order and pried open Roy’s mouth.
Focused, Cherise picked up the stomach tube and inserted it directly into Roy’s mouth.
Roy, lying on the operating table, might have felt some pain, his body twitching slightly.
After the tube had flushed Roy’s stomach several times, Cherise pressed the “stop” button on the automatic pump.
Then she swiftly pulled the tube out.
As the tube came out, white liquid continuously flowed from Roy’s mouth.
Crow walked over and asked, “Boss, when do you think he’ll wake up?”
Cherise answered, “He took in too much sedative. It’ll be another 2 or 3 days.”
After saying that, she added, “Clean him up and change his clothes.”
“What? Me again? Why does it have to be me? That stuff he threw up is disgusting!” Crow complained loudly.
As if ignoring Crow’s whining, Cherise walked out of the operating room, taking off her sterile gown and heading to freshen
- up.
In the lounge, Cherise’s handbag kept buzzing with her phone, showing a screen full of missed calls.
The caller ID read: Mr. Chivers.
