Chapter 89 I Thought You Left
Sofia Schneider didn’t interrupt the two brothers‘ conversation.
She quietly left the room and headed back to the kitchen to continue cooking.
According to Older Mr. Hart’s invitation, Dr. Braylon Green would arrive the day after tomorrow, which meant she could schedule Nathaniel Hart’s surgery the day after that.
However, Sofia didn’t plan to perform the surgery in a regular hospital, so she needed to figure out a way to get Nathaniel out. This meant that it would be hard to keep this from Older Mr. Hart.
Without his permission, it would be impossible to take Nathaniel out.
So Sofia needed to discuss this with Nathaniel.
After all, if they told Older Mr. Hart, who knew how he would react to their secrecy?

As she was thinking, Sofia heard Curtis Hart’s voice, “Sofia, are you personally cooking for Nathaniel? I wonder if I have the honor of tasting your cooking.”
Sofia snapped out of her thoughts, looked at Curtis, and said, “Of course, you can order whatever you like.”
Curtis thought for a moment and said, “No need for anything special, just make your specialty. I eat out every day and honestly don’t remember what home–cooked food tastes like.”
Hearing this, Sofia didn’t ask further and continued cooking.
Curtis, however, didn’t leave. Instead, he leaned against the kitchen door, watching Sofia.
He was genuinely curious why his grandfather insisted on Nathaniel getting married in his current state, and even more so, why it was done in secret.
If someone hadn’t secretly told him, who knew how long his grandfather would have kept it hidden?
According to Charley Hart, this woman had quite a temper.
Chapter 14 | Thought You Let
She didn’t say anything harsh, but her words could still make you feel stifled and frustrated.
This made Curtis even more curious about what kind of woman she was.
Especially since Nathaniel had been in a very negative mood since his accident.
If he could move, Curtis was sure he would have ended his own life.
However, seeing Nathaniel today, his mood was much better, his complexion rosier, and he seemed full of energy.
If he weren’t still bedridden, Curtis would have doubted that Nathaniel had ever been in an accident.
One thing Curtis was sure of was that all of this was because of Sofia.
Curtis was too curious about what kind of magic this woman had.
Sofia was focused on her cooking and didn’t notice Curtis.
It wasn’t until Curtis saw her putting herbs into the soup pot that he spoke up, “What are you adding to the soup, Sofia?”
Sofia was startled by his sudden voice but continued her actions, saying, “This is to help Mr. Hart’s health.”
“Sofia, you’ve been married to Nathaniel for so long, why do you still call him Mr. Hart? It sounds so distant,” Curtis said.
Sofia hadn’t paid attention to this.
She had always called him that, and Nathaniel never corrected her, nor did Older Mr. Hart.
She looked at Curtis and asked, “Can’t I call him that?”
Curtis was stumped by her question and didn’t know how to respond.
After all, when it comes to how people address each other, it’s up to them. Outsiders can’t change that.
Besides, how could he know if this wasn’t some little quirk between them?
Chapter 891 Thought You Left
Seeing Curtis not respond, Sofia didn’t continue the conversation.
She kept a close eye on the ingredients in the pot, adding each one at the right time according to a strict schedule.
Curtis watched her make soup for over an hour before returning to Nathaniel’s room.
Nathaniel frowned when he saw him come back and said, “I thought you left.”
“I was going to, but when I passed the kitchen and saw Sofia cooking. I decided to stay for dinner,” Curtis said.
Nathaniel’s face darkened at this, “There’s nothing prepared for you.”
“You don’t get to decide that. Sofia already agreed to let me stay for dinner,” Curtis said, his tone full of smugness.
Nathaniel clenched his jaw and ignored him, continuing to read his book.
Seeing this, Curtis couldn’t help but tease him.
“Nathaniel, don’t you find it strange? Neither I nor our older brother are married, yet. Grandpa was in such a hurry to find you a wife.”
“What are you trying to say?” Nathaniel raised an eyebrow, sensing no good would come from this.
“I just think it’s odd. And don’t you find your wife very mysterious?” Curtis said.
Nathaniel didn’t respond, but he thought Curtis was quite perceptive.
He had only met Sofia once and already had such a feeling.
However, Nathaniel wouldn’t reveal anything Sofia didn’t want to be discovered.
“I think you’re overthinking it. Why don’t you find yourself a wife instead of staring at mine?” Nathaniel said.
“Oh, are you jealous?” Curtis laughed, teasing, “Are you worried I’ll steal your woman?”
“Not at all,” Nathaniel smirked, not taking him seriously, “You couldn’t steal her from me.”

Chapter 891 Thought You Let
Nathaniel had that much confidence..
However, Curtis didn’t like hearing that.
He pointed at himself and said, “Are you looking down on me? Don’t you know how popular I am? So many girls are dying for my attention.”
Nathaniel scoffed, “Are you sure they’re not after the resources you can offer?”
Curtis realized Nathaniel was determined to argue with him today.
“Nathaniel, I’m your brother. You can’t always bully me like this,” Curtis said.
Nathaniel, seeing he was being silly again, ignored him.
He was more concerned about what Sofia was making for dinner.
Curtis, feeling bored, stopped teasing Nathaniel
He was also curious about Sofia’s cooking skills
Soon, his question was answered.
Sofia came in with a tray, skillfully pulled out the table, and placed all the dishes on it.
Curtis was amazed by the food on the table and suddenly felt envious of Nathaniel.
He seemed to instantly understand why Nathaniel had accepted Sofia.
