As soon as Sofia walked in, she saw Older Mr. Hart and Gregory staring at her in surprise.
Especially Older Mr. Hart, whose gaze carried a hint of barely noticeable guilt.
Older Mr. Hart knew very well that his grandson had no interest in Myra Austin.
But Sofia didn’t know that.
Seeing the two of them bump into each other at the door, Older Mr. Hart was really worried that Sofia might overthink things.
He tentatively asked, “Sofia, just now…”
“Grandpa, I came back late today and still need to make soup for Mr. Hart. I’ll head to the kitchen first,” Sofia interrupted him.
She didn’t want to discuss Nathaniel’s love life with Older Mr. Hart.
To her, Nathaniel was just someone helping her break away from the Schneider family.
If she had any feelings for him now, it was only because he was her patient.
Curing him would give her a great sense of accomplishment.
She didn’t care about anything else.
However, in Older Mr. Hart’s eyes, her behavior seemed like jealousy.
Older Mr. Hart watched Sofia’s back in silence for a long time.
It wasn’t until Sofia had disappeared into the kitchen that Older Mr. Hart let out a long sigh and asked Gregory, “Mr. Russell, do you think Sofia is angry? But Nathaniel clearly has nothing to do with that girl. Nathaniel never gave her a chance.”
Gregory, however, looked quite pleased and said to Older Mr. Hart, “Sir, I think you should be happy with her reaction.”
“What do you mean?” Older Mr. Hart sighed and glared at Gregory.

This old guy, what’s his deal? How could he be happy seeing his grandson’s love life in
turmoil?
Gregory said, “I think the lady is jealous, which means she cares a lot about Young Master.”
“Is that so?” Older Mr. Hart asked doubtfully.
“Of course,” Gregory said confidently.
“Besides, sir, look at this. Even though she is clearly unhappy, she’s still cooking for Nathaniel herself. What does that tell you? It tells you that Young Master already holds a very important place in her heart.”
Older Mr. Hart pondered for a while and the more he thought about it, the more he felt Gregory avas right.
He happily patted Gregory on the shoulder and said, “Now that you mention it, it does seem that way. I always said Sofia is a good girl. Marrying her would be the luckiest thing.”
“Yes, sir, you have a good eye,” Gregory said.
Sofia had no idea that Older Mr. Hart and Gregory were practically singing her praises.
She was busy handling the ingredients, her skills so adept that even Gregory couldn’t help but come over and compliment her.
Gregory said, “Madam, you must teach me how to cook when you available.”
Sofia smiled, feeling a bit embarrassed, and said, “I only know how to make soup. There’s still a lot I need to learn from you.”
She didn’t plan to reveal all her cooking skills, just showing her soup–making ability.
Because, for now, all she could do was make soup.
Today, she didn’t have time to make a long–cooking soup.
So, Sofia made a beef stew, adding some pre–prepared medicine to it.
Once Gregory had also finished preparing dinner, he took it to Nathaniel’s room.
Sofia didn’t want to talk to Nathaniel today.

Nathaniel could sense Sofia’s coldness towards him today, knowing it was because last night’s conversation had upset her.
His gaze stayed on Sofia’s face, and several times he tried to say something, but each time he was stopped by the food Sofia fed him.
After quickly and mechanically feeding Nathaniel his dinner, Sofia cleaned up the dishes and prepared to leave.
“Wait.” Nathaniel called out to Sofia.
Sofia turned around and asked, “What’s up?”
“Take the box on the table and eat it,” Nathaniel said, nodding towards the table.
It was only then that Sofia noticed a delicate little box tied with a golden ribbon.
It was hard to tell what it was just by looking.
She wanted to refuse but thought better of it, picked up the box, and left Nathaniel’s room.
Nathaniel watched the door close behind her, feeling a mix of frustration and amusement.
He really didn’t understand why Sofia was so upset.
Even if she was unhappy with what he said last night, Nathaniel didn’t think it would make Sofia this angry.
Especially since Sofia was the type to be very guarded, never letting anyone find fault with
her actions.
So, this state of not even saying thank you, Nathaniel knew she was doing it on purpose.
But Nathaniel really didn’t know what he had done to offend Sofia.
After returning the dishes to the kitchen, Sofia went back to her room.
She stared at the box for a long time before fully untying the ribbon to see what was inside

She had been craving macarons after the bitter coffee at the café but had forgotten about it after dealing with the safe and buying groceries for Nathaniel.
Now, seeing this box, delicate macarons in front of her, Sofia had mixed feelings.
She didn’t know how to describe this feeling.
She knew it didn’t mean she and Nathaniel had some kind of unspoken understanding.
But she couldn’t help thinking in that direction.
This conflicting emotion tugged at her, leaving her in a daze for a long time.
It wasn’t until her phone rang that Sofia snapped back to reality.
Seeing Sylvia’s name on the caller ID, she instinctively glanced at the time, her brow furrowing.
