United States.
At the auction had reached its final item, and the bid was up to 1.58 billion.
Sylvia signaled Justin to continue bidding.
Unlike the previous doubling of bids, this time they only increased it to 1.585 billion.
The representative from the Hank family was fuming, his face red and his neck veins bulging, cursing the mysterious person in the VIP room under his breath.
Originally, they were determined to get this item, willing to pay up to 3 billion.
They had greased all the right palms, ensuring everyone would step aside and let them have it easily.
But out of nowhere, this troublemaker appeared, seemingly determined to oppose them.
No matter how high they bid, this person doubled it every time.
When the bid reached 13 billion, the opponent switched tactics, raising the bid by 500 million each time, clearly toying with–them.
This infuriated them even more.
Several times, the Hank family members stood up, ready to storm the VIP room to confront the person.
If they were so determined to get the item, why not just name an unbeatable price?
However, they couldn’t act rashly.
If they did, all their efforts would be in vain.
Sylvia swirled her wine glass, watching the Hank family representative’s twisted face with a hint of mockery.
Feeling playful, she told Justin, “Next time, raise it by one dollar.”

“Sylvia, isn’t that a bit much?” Justin turned to look at the mischievous woman, genuinely worried things would get out of hand.
Welles, sitting nearby, also looked at Sylvia like she was a living nightmare.
He used to think Sofia was difficult, but now with Sylvia, he felt his worldview was crumbling.
Sylvia nonchalantly said, “What’s the problem? If they can’t handle it, that’s their issue, not ours.”
“But how long will this take?” Justin said.
Raising the bid by 500 million each time was already slow.
Raising it by one dollar could drag the auction out indefinitely.
Sylvia took a sip of her wine, realizing Justin had a point. “Okay, forget that. Raise it by ten million.”
Welles asked, “Why not just raise it to 1.59 billion? That way, they’ll reach 1.6 billion directly. Why drag it out?”
Sylvia explained, “You don’t get it. We’re in no hurry. The point is to wear down their patience.”
Welles felt a twitch in his cheek, suddenly not wanting to work for Sofia anymore.
If this was the mess Sylvia caused without Sofia present, he couldn’t imagine the chaos if Sofia were involved directly.
Seeing Welles’s troubled expression, Sylvia chuckled and said, “Alright, let’s finish this. I have other things to arrange.”
The auction wasn’t the main event.
If the Hank family had backed off early, she could have gotten the item without fuss.
But they were determined to make it difficult.
Draining her wine glass, Sylvia left the VIP room.
She had already received the route map from Sofia and details about the security the Hank

To be fair, the Hank family had gone all out for this item, even hiring thirteen mercenaries and top assassins from the dark web. They were really serious.
But unfortunately for them, they were up against Sofia.
The assassins and mercenaries were no match for Sofia’s elite team, who could easily outclass them.
If Sofia hadn’t kept her team hidden, these assassins would be relentlessly hunted by them.
Sylvia adjusted her outfit and got into her car.
She couldn’t help but message Sofia, “You’re really pulling out all the stops for Nathaniel Hart. This setup would be top–tier if you were here.”
Sofia quickly replied, “Stop chatting and focus on the task. If you mess up, I’ll hold accountable.”

Sylvia felt a pang, thinking Sofia had changed.
She wasn’t the girl who didn’t care about men anymore.
Putting aside her thoughts, Sylvia adjusted her equipment and waited.
Soon, Justin’s voice came through her earpiece, “Sylvia, the Hank family won the bid. They’re going to pay and complete the process.
“Good. You and Welles leave now. I’ll handle the rest,” Sylvia said.
About half an hour later, Sylvia’s computer showed the Hank family’s cars on the move.
There were eight vehicles heading in different directions, showing extreme caution.
Sylvia smiled, feeling the thrill of the hunt as her eyes lit up.
She hadn’t felt this excited in a long time.
Finally, as the target vehicle approached, Sylvia gave the command, “Action.”
In an instant, four cars from different directions crashed into the target vehicle.

At the same time, seven gunshots rang out, and Sylvia received a report, “Sylvia, the target is neutralized.”
Sylvia got out of her car and walked gracefully towards the Hank family’s vehicle.
The car was crushed, and through the front windshield, she saw the driver, covered in blood and unconscious.
She couldn’t see the person in the backseat but assumed they weren’t in good shape.
Sylvia waved, and her team pried open the car door.
The car was leaking fuel, so they had to move quickly.
Once the door was open, Sylvia saw the person in the backseat clutching a safe tightly, glaring at her with bloodshot eyes.
Sylvia smiled, had him pulled out, and casually took the safe from him.
Then she pulled out a black rose from her pocket and placed it in his hands.
