Chapter 25 We Don’t Want to Upset Anyone
After Kassidy finished a photo shoot in the morning, she headed to the Splendor Hotel with Kaitlyn.
She had to sign a contract there today.
To fit her role better, she had Kaitlyn rent some expensive antique jewelry and styled her hair into an elegant bun, giving her a real princess look, like she was a fairy.
Kaitlyn was thrilled with Kassidy’s look and immediately took photos to post on Instagram.
“Today’s Kassidy is a perfect princess!”
As soon as Kaitlyn posted, Kassidy eagerly watched for comments on her phone.
Sure enough, within just five minutes, her Instagram was buzzing.
“Oh my god, Kassidy is such a fairy Chapter unlocked! nd she looks stunning!!!”
“I can’t deny, Kassidy is the most beautiful!!!”
Seeing all the compliments, Kassidy felt even more proud.
She could already imagine how famous she’d become once the show aired.
The car soon arrived at the Splendor Hotel.
Kassidy got out and hadn’t even stepped inside when she bumped into a young girl storming out, looking furious.
When the girl saw her, she rolled her eyes so hard that Kassidy could feel the anger from several feet away.
Kassidy frowned, puzzled by the girl’s attitude.
If she weren’t worried about being photographed and having a scandal when she got famous, she’d have confronted the girl to teach her some manners.
But she was in a hurry.

The director and the male lead were already there, and being late would leave a bad impression.
Kassidy knew what was important and wouldn’t risk her future.
Still, getting an eye roll out of nowhere left her annoyed.
She turned to Kaitlyn and said, “Kaitlyn, find out what’s up with that girl. Is she crazy?”
Kaitlyn, who had been trying to figure out why the girl seemed familiar, suddenly remembered and exclaimed, “Kassidy, that’s the daughter of Mystic Entertainment Inc.’s Vice President Black!”
“Vice President Black?” Kassidy paused. She had definitely heard of him.
“I’ve never offended her, or her dad, and definitely not been his mistress.
What’s her problem with me?” Kassidy wondered.
“I’ll look into it,” Kaitlyn said.

“But you
go now. Davian Sanders is hard to deal with, and Mr. Blake is already here. We don’t want to upset anyone.”
Kassidy nodded and headed to the elevator,
The meeting was in Davian’s room.
When Kassidy first heard this, she was reluctant.
As an up–and–coming actress, meeting a director in a hotel room could easily lead to rumors and scandals.
But since Nixon Blake and screenwriter Olivia Roberts, along with their staff, were also there, Kassidy agreed.
Kassidy wasn’t being overly cautious.
When she first started, a director had called her to his room.
Within minutes, photos were online, nearly causing her to be cyberbullied and almost leading to a confrontation with the director’s wife.

Kaitlyn had always done a great job in this regard, knowing well that Kassidy was from the Schneider family. Negative news about Kassidy would be detrimental to her own career.
So, she always met Kassidy’s demands.
When Kassidy reached the room, the door opened from inside.
Davian’s assistant, Alaric Jacobs, greeted her politely, “Miss Schneider, please come in. Davian and the others are waiting.”
Kassidy nodded and walked in with Kaitlyn.
Inside, Davian, Olivia, and Nixon were sitting in the lounge area, scripts spread out, discussing the male lead’s character journey.
Olivia, clearly unhappy with Kassidy as the female lead, immediately remarked, “Our lead actress sure is impressive, can’t even show up a few minutes early. Makes me think she doesn’t want the role.”
Kassidy had heard Olivia was difficult, but she hadn’t expected such a direct hit right away.
Her face turned sour.
Although not very famous yet, many in the industry knew she was from the Schneider family and treated her with great respect, often trying to curry favor.
This was the first time someone had dared to be so openly critical of her.
