Pharmacy.
After Sofia Schneider selected the medicines she needed, she was about to leave when she saw a familiar face walk in.
Archer Sanders spotted Sofia and paused for a moment before approaching her. “Sofia,” he greeted.
Feeling a bit awkward, Sofia smiled and said, “Mr. Sanders, hello.”
“Please, just call me Archer,” he replied.
Archer knew better than to put on airs in front of Sofia, fearing Nathaniel Hart’s wrath.
Sofia didn’t dwell on the formalities and changed the topic. “Are you here to get some medicine?”

“Yes, Sofia,” Archer replied just as a doctor approached, saying, “Mr. Sanders, your medicine is ready.”
“Great, bring it over,” Archer said.
He then turned back to Sofia. “Sofia, do you know much about medicine?”
“Just a bit,” Sofia replied. “Why?”
“If it’s convenient, could you come with me somewhere?” Archer asked.
Sofia was momentarily puzzled about where Archer wanted to take her.
However, considering his relationship with Nathaniel, she didn’t refuse.
“Wait a moment, let me just grab my medicine Sofia said.
“Thank you,” Archer replied.
After getting their medicines, they got into Archer’s car.

While on the road, Sofia sent Nathaniel a message, informing him that she ran into Archer and was helping him with something
Nathaniel quickly replied, “I’ll come to pick you up later.”
Feeling reassured, Sofia thought Archer must be taking her somewhere Nathaniel was familiar with, so she had no worries.
However, when Archer parked the car, Sofia was surprised.
“Sorry, Sofia,” Archer said apologetically. “We have to walk from here.”
Sofia nodded and got out of the car, following Archer into a dilapidated area that resembled a slum more than a neighborhood.
Cars couldn’t enter, and the path was difficult.
It was hard for Sofia to believe Archer would bring her to such a place.
Given his status as the pampered young master of the Sanders family, places like this shouldn’t exist in his world.
However, Archer seemed very familiar with the area, knowing where all the potholes were and guiding Sofia carefully.
After a 20–minute walk, they stopped in front of a very rundown house.
Archer turned to Sofia and said, “Sofia, I hope you won’t be scared.”
Sofia nodded and smiled, “Don’t worry, I won’t be.”
Unless the house was full of snakes, nothing would scare her.
Reassured, Archer pushed open the creaky door with difficulty. Inside, it was pitch black despite the bright daylight outside.
This didn’t bother Sofia. She quickly noticed the figure curled up in the corner–a hunched old woman, her face buried in her knees, trembling constantly.
Sofia’s eyes showed a flash of surprise at the strange state of the old woman.
She glanced at Archer, wondering about his relationship with the woman.
Archer quickly provided an answer te veggende, crouched in from of the old woman, and gently said, “Nanny, it’s Arch. I’ve got to see you

After some time, the old woman slowly lifted her head, but her eyes were unfocused.
She couldn’t speak, only making “ah ah sounds, her hands trembling as she reached out as if trying to find Archer
Only then did Archer dare to hold her hand, saying, “Nanny, Arch missed you.”
His voice trembled like a child who had been wronged, carrying a hint of tears.
Watching this scene, Sofia felt an inexplicable sadness.
She didn’t move closer, knowing the old woman’s mental state was fragile.
Even Archer had to work hard to get a response from her. If Sofia approached suddenly, it might further agitate the woman.
Standing outside, Sofia listened to Archer talk to the old woman.
Surprisingly, the old woman seemed to sense Sofia’s presence, turning her head sharply towards her direction despite being unable to see.
Sofia’s heart skipped a beat, feeling an unprecedented unease.
She couldn’t explain this feeling; it was simply unsettling.
Archer, seeing this, was shocked but then overjoyed. He looked at Sofia as if she were a savior.
Sofia was puzzled by his reaction and had no time to ponder why.
She was curious about how the old woman sensed her and pinpointed her location so accurately.
The old woman couldn’t speak, only making “ah ah” sounds, which left Archer helpless.
