Older Mr. Hart looked at Sofia, then at Nathaniel, not understanding what Nathaniel.
meant.
Sofia tricked him?

How could that be?
Old Mr. Hart knew nothing about this.
Nathaniel’said, “Didn’t you say you’d come to give me a massage last night? I waited until late, but you never came.”
Sofia blinked innocently, her expression turning all sweet and obedient.
What could she do?
She really had forgotten about it.
Chapter unlocked!
Who would’ve thought Nathaniel would be so particular about it?
But wait! What did Nathaniel just say?
He waited until late at night?
She came over earlier in the night, so according to Nathaniel, he was awake at that time?
Sofia stared at Nathaniel, trying to communicate with him through her eyes.
Unfortunately, their mutual understanding was limited, and they couldn’t read each other’s expressions.
Sofia felt utterly frustrated, having a strong sense that she was being played.
However, she couldn’t ask Nathaniel directly right now, so she softly said, “Sorry, Mr. Hart, it was late, and I thought you were asleep, so I didn’t want to disturb you.“.
Sofia lowered her eyelashes, her hands hanging by her sides, looking very pitiful.

Even Older Mr. Hart couldn’t bear to watch.
“Nathaniel, Sofia works hard all day and still comes to take care of you. Be considerate and don’t make her so tired,” Older Mr. Hart said.
Massaging someone isn’t easy, especially a paraplegic patient like Nathaniel.
It requires the right amount of pressure and a lot of care.
Older Mr. Hart had previously hired professional masseurs for Nathaniel, fearing that being bedridden too long would cause muscle atrophy, making rehabilitation even longer, even if he stood up again.
However, Nathaniel’s aversion to strangers was extreme, refusing to let any masseur touch
him.
With no other options, Older Mr. Hart had to learn the massage techniques and knowledge himself to help Nathaniel.
Despite being much sturdier than his peers, he felt the strain deeply.
Seeing Sofia’s slim figure, Older Mr. Hart felt even more that asking her to massage Nathaniel was unfair.
Although he had his reasons for arranging Sofia as Nathaniel’s wife, he never intended to treat her like a servant, but as a beloved granddaughter.
So, seeing his grandson upset with Sofia over this, Older Mr. Hart was unconditionally on Sofia’s side.
Sofia didn’t expect Older Mr. Hart to defend her so much, and she felt warm inside.
She looked at Older Mr. Hart and said, “Grandpa, don’t blame Mr. Hart. It was my fault for not coming as promised and making him wait so long. It won’t happen again.”
Older Mr. Hart wanted to say something, but Sofia continued, “Grandpa, I’m a doctor, not a famous one, but I’m good at caring for people. Taking care of Mr. Hart doesn’t tire me.”
Older Mr. Hart was touched, holding Sofia’s hand, “Sofia, thank you. I’m really happy to hear that. Thank you for caring about Nathaniel.”
Sofia smiled without saying more.

She could feel Nathaniel’s gaze on her face, filled with curiosity, scrutiny, and doubt, making her very uncomfortable.
She looked away and saw that the IV drip was empty and she went over to stop it.

Gathering the used bottle, Sofia said, “Grandpa, it’s about time for me to go to work. I’ll come back early today.”
With that, Sofia didn’t look at Nathaniel again and quickly left his room.
Once alone, Older Mr. Hart asked, “Did you really wait for Sofia until late last night?”
Nathaniel raised an eyebrow at his grandpa, “Why? Can’t I?”
“Nathaniel, tell me
piqued, his eyes do you think Sofia is good?” Older Mr. Hart’s interest was
piqued, his eyes twinkling as if trying to see through Nathaniel.
Nathaniel looked at his grandpa, baffled by his thoughts.
Whenever Sofia was mentioned, his grandpa always thought he was deeply in love with her.
Nathaniel asked, “Grandpa, why don’t you tell me first why you chose her to marry me?”
As far as he knew, Older Mr. Hart had promised the Schneider family 80 million in benefits, which was a lifesaver for the nearly bankrupt Schneider group.
If Sofia had nothing special, unless his grandpa had lost his mind, he wouldn’t do something so foolish.
Older Mr. Hart didn’t want to discuss this with Nathaniel.
He simply said, “Why do you care? Sofia is already your wife. Don’t let her down, or I’ll be the first to deal with you.”
