She didn’t respond right away, just stared at Sofia.

When Sofia told her to check the room, she ran to it.
Sofia watched her back, shaking her head with a smile.
Grace was just a little girl, acting like a child brought to a new home, cautious and unsure.
Sofia stood up and walked to the room.
Grace was inside, looking around, touching everything.
She seemed to have opened a door to a new world, finally realizing who Sofia really was.
