Chapter 13 You Can Call Me Sofia
Sofia paused, holding the spoon, and looked confusedly towards the door.
From the slightly open door, Housekeeper Gregory’s voice came through, “Charley, you’re welcome to come in, but Miss Austin can’t.”
“Gregory, how could you? Myra came with me to see Nathaniel. She cares so much. How can you not let her in?” Charley Hart protested, looking at her embarrassed friend and feeling anger.
Though she had always respected Gregory, this lack of respect towards her made her unhappy.
Mr. Gregory knew Charley’s temperament and patiently explained, “Miss Charley, Master Nathaniel needs rest. Older Mr. Hart instructed us not to disturb him.”
“Fine, can’t I go in by myself then? Honestly, Myra isn’t a stranger. Grandfather is being unreasonable,” Charley retorted.
Before she entered, Charley signaled to Myra Austin, implying she would call her in later.
Myra hesitated for a moment, holding onto the thermos bag and did not hand it to Charley.
She had personally cooked this and wanted to deliver it to Nathaniel herself.
Charley had told her before that Nathaniel hadn’t been eating much since his accident.
She had sought out top chefs, believing that once Nathaniel tried her cooking, he would regain his appetite and see her care for him.
Charley opened the door and cheerfully called out to Nathaniel, “Nathaniel, I’m here to see you.”
But instead of Nathaniel acknowledging her concern, the room was filled with an eerie atmosphere.
Charley then saw Nathaniel’s bed rocking gently.
Charley saw that Nathaniel’s bed had been raised, and he was leaning against the headboard, a beautiful woman stood by the bedside holding a bowl and spoon–feeding

Their grandfather sat on the sofa nearby, his face full of love, clearly pleased with what he
saw.
Charley couldn’t believe her eyes that Nathaniel was allowing a stranger so close to him.
This realization made Charley feel threatened, and she glared angrily at Sofia, demanding, “Who are you? And why are you in my brother’s room?”
Sofia, unimpressed by the rude girl, didn’t answer Charley’s question but instead scooped up another spoonful of porridge and softly urged Nathaniel to eat more.
She had noticed earlier that Nathaniel hardly ate anything and relied on nutritional fluids to sustain him.
While this was sufficient, food provided energy to his body that fluids couldn’t fully replace.
Sofia hoped Nathaniel would eat more.
Nathaniel lifted his eyes slightly, looking at Sofia’s beautiful face close to him.
At this moment, he could even see the fine hair on her face.
Clean and flawless, without any makeup, yet so beautiful he couldn’t look away.
Noticing Nathaniel’s prolonged silence, Sofia moved the spoon towards his lips again and asked, “What’s wrong? Are you full?”
“Not yet,” Nathaniel replied.
With that, he took the spoon into his mouth and finished the porridge.
He didn’t need to ask; he knew Gregory had personally cooked it. It tasted so familiar to
him.
But for some reason, Nathaniel felt that today’s porridge was especially sweet and fragrant.
Seeing this, Older Mr. Hart’s eyes were moist. He finally let go of some of his worries.
Sofia took a tissue and wiped Nathaniel’s mouth. She noticed Nathaniel was still staring at her.

Puzzled, she asked, “What’s wrong?”
“I still feel hungry,” Nathaniel said.
Everyone was stunned by his words, even Kyler and others behind the screen couldn’t believe what they heard.
Older Mr. Hart immediately stood up from the sofa, saying, “Still hungry? If you’re not full, I will bring you another bowl, no, I’ll bring you a whole pot. You can have as much as you
want.”
Just as he was about to rush out, Sofia stopped him. “Grandpa, there’s no need. Mr. Hart has eaten enough.”
For a patient who hadn’t eaten properly for a long time, finishing a large bowl of porridge was already sufficient.
Older Mr. Hart paused and looked at Sofia.
He was about to say something when Charley exploded, “What’s wrong with you? Didn’t you hear Nathaniel say he’s not full? It’s not your food, so why do you care so much?”
Saying this, she leaned closer to Nathaniel and said, “Nathaniel, would you like something else to eat? Myra and I came together. She made soup for you. Should I call her in so Grandpa doesn’t have to go?”
Nathaniel gave her a cold glance, his voice chilling, “I said not to bring irrelevant people in front of me.”
“Nathaniel, how can you say that?” Charley frowned at his words, becoming increasingly unhappy.
She pouted unhappily, “Myra grew up with us since childhood. How can you call her irrelevant? If Myra hears this, she’ll be so hurt.
Nathaniel ignored Charley. He had always been indifferent to this younger sister.
Seeing that her whining was useless, Charley turned to Sofia and said unkindly, “Hey, who are you anyway? Are you the new servant in our house? Hurry up and get out,‘
Sofia was tidying up the tray and was about to take it out when she heard Charley’s words and stopped.
