Chapter 107 Did You Approve of These Demands?
Curtis Hart arranged for Sylvia Grant to have the best manager at Mystic Entertainment Inc., Fiona Gross, known simply–as Fiona.
Many of the top stars in the industry were brought up by her.
However, Fiona had a temper and hadn’t taken on new talent in years. Even when she did, it was strictly on her terms.
When Curtis asked her to take on a new talent, Fiona was not happy.
She didn’t know who this new person was to warrant Curtis’s personal request, but she planned to make things tough for her.
So, when Fiona was notified to meet the new talent, she deliberately arrived half an hour late.
During this time, Sylvia waited in Curtis’s office.
She sensed Curtis was trying to maintain a calm demeanor, but there was a hint of anger in his eyes.
Sylvia initially thought it was because of her, but Curtis’s attitude didn’t seem to reflect that.
Thinking it over, she realized it was likely because of the top manager.
Sylvia became interested in this manager who was trying to give her a hard time.
When Fiona finally arrived, she saw a stunning woman sitting on the sofa with her legs crossed, looking both bored and amused.
The moment Fiona entered, the woman’s expression was indescribable, as if she had already seen through her.
This was the first time Fiona had encountered such a situation.
Usually, she was the one who made others feel pressured.
Now, she felt like the fool.

Sylvia’s gaze swept over Fiona, uninterested in how capable the top manager was.

She was more interested in how this woman, who was trying to make things difficult for her, would act in the future.
However, if Fiona tried to set her up, Sylvia wasn’t one to be messed with and wouldn’t let her off easily.
So, their first meeting was already off to a rocky start before they even spoke a word.
Curtis felt even more troubled, sensing the tension between the two women.
He began to doubt his decision, thinking he might have made a mistake.
Although he believed he was giving Sylvia the best resources, it might have been a one–sided wish.
Despite his misgivings, Curtis maintained a polite facade.
He introduced them, “Sylvia, this is Fiona Gross. You can call her Fiona.”
The two women nodded at each other, acknowledging the introduction.
Fiona grew more curious about the woman Curtis was personally backing.
She initially thought Sylvia was just a connection of Curtis’s, or perhaps someone he fancied.
But after a brief observation, she dismissed those ideas.
Fiona could see how much Curtis valued Sylvia, but there was no hint of romantic interest.
It was puzzling. With so many beautiful women in the world, why was Sylvia so special?
Once they sat down on the sofa, Sylvia, having lost patience, got straight to the point. “Fiona, since you’ll be handling my career, I need to make my conditions clear before we start working together.”
Fiona, still maintaining some courtesy, smiled and gestured for her to continue.
“I’ve already discussed this with Mr. Hart. While I agree to have a manager, I need the manager to follow my instructions completely. No forcing any work on me, and I must have absolute control over my schedule,” Sylvia said.

Entering the entertainment industry was more about seeing how Curtis intended to invest in her and to make more money from him.
Sylvia, known for her love of money, wouldn’t pass up any opportunity related to it.
Fiona hadn’t expected Sylvia to make such demands. Her expression darkened, dropping all pretense of politeness.
Instead of responding to Sylvia, she turned to Curtis and said, “Boss, what does this mean? You know how I work. Did you approve of these demands?”
Fiona had never encountered such a situation in all her years.
Everyone knew she was devoted to her actors and would help them get amazing opportunities if they were cooperative.
Even though some famous stars were no longer under her management, everyone knew they were her protégés.
Many actors would do anything to become one of her clients, hoping to break through and become famous overnight.
Now, here was a woman, other than her looks, offering no obvious advantages, making such arrogant demands!
It was shockingly ridiculous!
Curtis said, “Fiona, I know your rules, but Sylvia is special. I believe in her. Any conditions she has are to be accepted unconditionally.”
Fiona was stunned, her eyes widening in disbelief.
It wasn’t just because Curtis knew her style and still made such demands but also because it was completely out of character for him to allow this.
What was it about Sylvia that had changed Curtis so much?
Curtis continued, “Fiona, you are the best manager in the industry. I won’t say more. The rest is up to your cooperation.”
Fiona’s face remained stern, but she wasn’t foolish enough to openly defy her boss’s

She nodded, saying, “Given Miss Grant’s personality, I need to clarify that her success will be her own doing. If she doesn’t let me manage now, she shouldn’t expect me to clean up any messes later.”
