Sylvia didn’t argue. She simply pulled out her phone and called Curtis. “Looks like need to come down and get me, or I can’t get in.”

Sylvia’s mouth twitched at the thought of Curtis’s high–profile solution.
“That’s a bit much. I don’t want people gossiping about my photo.”
“Lack of confidence?” Curtis raised an eyebrow. “How do you know they won’t worship your photo?”
She felt like she had met her match. Curtis’s straightforwardness left her at a loss for words.
Curtis, seeing her silence, asked, “What’s wrong? Did I say something wrong?”
“No,” Sylvia shook her head. “I just think, Mr. Hart, you’re quite impressive.”
Curtis didn’t understand what Sylvia meant, but the elevator had reached their floor.
Stepping out, they saw the assistant waiting anxiously by the door.
When he saw Curtis and Sylvia together, he instantly understood.
He had suspected Curtis had a special interest in Sylvia and now was more certain than
ever.
He quietly decided to side with Sylvia, hoping for a future pay raise.
Sylvia noticed the assistant’s look and smiled slightly in greeting.
Entering Curtis’s office, Sylvia got straight to the point. “Mr. Hart, I don’t mind having a manager, but I have one condition.”
“Go ahead,” Curtis said, indicating she could speak freely.

handle such tasks.
“Why? Don’t you trust me? Think I can’t manage? Or think I’ll mess things up?” Sylvia challenged.
“I don’t mind, but you need to understand something. Top–tier actors have very little time to handle their own affairs,” Curtis explained.
Sylvia hadn’t considered this. Her knowledge of the celebrity world was minimal, mostly gleaned from Sofia Schneider.
Sofia wasn’t interested in the celebrity world, and the people she dealt with usually sought her help.
Sylvia wasn’t interested in them, so she never really learned about it.
Hearing Curtis’s explanation piqued her interest. She thought for a moment but decided to control her own affairs entirely.
“Mr. Hart, you’ve known me for a few days now. You should have some idea of my personality. It’s impossible for me to work nonstop for you. So even if you assign me a top manager, it’ll just waste their talents,” Sylvia said frankly.
Curtis felt a bit helpless after hearing Sylvia’s candid words.
He had planned for Sylvia to gradually adapt to the entertainment world, hoping she would eventually enjoy it and willingly become his star.
But Sylvia’s straightforward rejection ruined his plans.
