“Grace,” she said coldly, “I am the CEO of this company, and you are just a secretary. You need to remember your place.” Her tone was sharp and final.
“Whatever it is, we’ll deal with it tomorrow.” Without waiting for a response, Scarlett hung up..
Grace stared at her now dark phone screen, her frustration evident.
“She’s really going to drag the entire company down with her,” Grace muttered, pacing back and forth in her office
For a moment, she considered calling Leroy. But then, she thought of Cedric’s manipulative nature. Even if Leroy intervened, Scarlett would likely stay stubbor “Honestly, I just hope the board steps up and does something about Cedric.”

“The board doesn’t have the authority to make a decision like this without consulting the first. I want to meet with them.”
Grace shook her head “Lettie, this isn’t a removal. It’s just a temporary break. They’re not asling you to step down permanently. The real target here is Cedric,” Scarlett ignored her explanation, her temper flaring. “No. I don’t agree to this!” she snapped, her fists clenching-
