“Dmitry, do you want me to send someone to disqualify them?”
Caroline walked over, her voice tinged with worry,
Dinitry chuckled. “What’s there to be afraid of? To me, they’re just two spectators now.
“This is DIIT first concert. Don’t mess it up,” Caroline said.
“Tch, as if I would,” Dmitry replied confidently.
The stage lights dazzled as the music’s intro began. Dmitry and Caroline stepped out one after the other.
The audience erupted in cheers, but one face was dark with anger.
Dalena watched them sing their duet and quietly put down the light–up sign she had prepared.
She had spent three months getting ready for this concert.
Her plan was to confess to Dmitry again at the concert, but Caroline’s appearance completely shattered her hopes.
Cyril’s voice trembled as he asked, “Mom, did Dad marry someone else?”
“Don’t talk nonsense. He wouldn’t be so heartless, Dalena scolded, her jealousy simmering inside.
After the performance ended, she finally went backstage to find Denitry
When they met again, it was as if they were strangers passing by in a crowd.
“Dmitry!”
Dalena called out to him first. “You’re finally back in New York. Do you know how long I’ve waited for you? A whole year!”
“You came back for me, didn’t you? Let’s get remarried right now.
“Ma’am,” Dinitry replied, his face expressionless. “The audience area isn’t here.”
Hearing his distant tone, Dalena’s fantasies completely crumbled.
She had thought that if she just waited long enough, Dmitry’s anger would subside. She never imagined he truly didn’t want her anymore. “Dmitry, you can’t treat
‘t treat me like this! I was your wife for ten years!”
“And Cyril? He’s your son!”
“Enough!”
Caroline frowned. “Now you want to make amends? What w
were you doing earlier? Ever heard the phrase ‘spilt water can’t be gathered‘?”
“Security, get them out of the dressing room. Don’t disturb Dmitry’s rest.” Dalena’s heart shattered.
Not only had Dmitry abandoned her, but now she was being humiliated by another woman. She had always been dominant in New York. When had she ever endured such indignity?
I must be you who seduced Dmitry! Otherwise, why would he leave me and Cy Dalena raised her hand to strike but was stopped by Dimitry.
I’ll teach you a lesson today!‘
He looked at her, his eyes filled with endless disappointment. “Stay away from us. You disgust me.”
The security guards moved in, and Dalena felt her world spinning.
She and Cyril were escorted out of the venue, left to lean against the wall in despair.
They waited until the concert was over, and night had fallen.
Denitry walked into a restaurant with Caroline and Quinn, chatting and laughing.
Delena stood outside, watching the three of them enjoy their time together.
It reminded her of the past, when Dmitry had caught her in a flirtation with Fablo. He had looked at her the same way then.
Bitterness surged in her chest, malding it hard to breathe.
She couldn’t ever fathom the depth of Dinitry’s hatred for her at the time,
“nitry… Pan such a fool. I’ve wronged youl
Dalena was overcome with regret and pulli, lait she still couldn’t let go.
Just as she was about to storms into the restaurant to make a scene, a group of b
