He sat there like a striking scene, even attracting the attention of many beauties. But he coldly told them to get lost.
An old friend suddenly reached out to me.
[Has Bernard found you?]
[Yes.]
[He’s been making a huge fuss back home, offering a million–dollar reward just for a photo of you.]
Only then did I realize why, for the past while, it felt like someone had been secretly taking pictures of me outside the cafe. It had been bothering me endlessly.

Before I could respond, he ran out like a madman.
When he returned, his entire body was red, as if he had been stripped of a layer of skin.. “I’ve scrubbed myself clean! Look! I‘ m really not tainted anymore!”
His eyes were bloodshot and he looked at me with the pitiful gaze of a desperate
puppy.

she sent you. She is such a vile woman!”
As he spoke of Kate, his eyes were filled with venom as if she were his mortal
enemy.
It was then I realized just how cruel this man could be.
I set down my coffee cup and fixed my gaze on him. “So even now, you think it was. because of Kate that we ended up like this?”
Some time ago, Kate somehow got hold of my contact information. In just a few days, she went from flaunting her superiority to begging for mercy.
The day Bernard forced her to terminate the pregnancy, she called me in tears. “Mrs. Yvon, I’m begging you! Can you please ask Mr. Yvon not to make me get rid of my child?”

To my surprise, she blamed everything on me, using the live–streaming account she had gained fame from by stirring up fake drama to cyberbully me.
Before I knew it, the internet was flooded. with vicious insults aimed at me.
I was not sure what methods Bernard used, but those disgusting comments
disappeared overnight.
He lowered his head, his shoulders. trembling slightly. “I know, it’s my fault. But I really know I was wrong… Jane, can you give me another chance?”
He took out an exquisite box and I instantly recognized it as the “Jane” I had disposed of the second time.
Before he could open it, I covered it up immediately. “Don’t waste your efforts. I don’t love you anymore.”

filled with disbelief as he staggered backward.
He pleaded with a sorrowful expression. “Jane, don’t do this, please!”
The once ruthless and dominant Mr. Yvon in the business world now appeared so
humble.
Yet, not a single ripple stirred in my heart.
After a long silence without any response, he gritted his teeth and said forcefully, “The divorce agreement hasn’t been signed yet. You‘ re still my wife!”
After lingering for a few more days, Bernard eventually left.
A few months later, just when I thought he had completely given up, I suddenly
received a call from an unfamiliar number.
The voice on the other end sounded weak. “Is this Jane?”
