Leonardo withdrew his gaze and said indifferently, “Let’s go.”
The young lady at the front eagerly poshed past the others. “Of course, Mr. Garrett’ll guide you.”
Without a backward glance, Leonardo followed her lead, his expertsing cold and distant, as if Sarmanthu were a stranger, Samantha stood t frozen for a moment. “That’s what we were supposed to be, right? Strangers,” the thought to herself.
They’d only crossed paths a few times by accident. This was just life retuming to normal. So, why did her chest feel tight? Why did it feel like she was suffocating? “Tsk, I can’t believe she beat us to it.”

Lost in thought, Samantha didn’t notice them approaching her until someone crashed into her, knocking her off balance. Pain shot through her already injured later, and she felt herself falling backward.
