Zoey finally caught up when Evelyn walked to the entrance of the screening room. Evelyn asked, “The premiere is almost over. Are we still going in!
The door was slightly ajar, and they could faintly hear the director’s closing remarks from inside, followed by a rustling sound, as if the audience was getting ready to leave,
Zoey stopped her excited pace and looked at the screening room with regret. “Never mind. Alas, this is my very first movie. That group of people just now ruined it! Zoey lowered her head. “If Felix had accompanied me today, we surely wouldn’t have missed it”
Zoey’s voice was soft, with a grievance that made others feel sorry for her. Evelyn raised her hand and was about to comfort Zoey when the door of the screening room suddenly opened.
Ava, who came out first met them and was taken aback for a moment. After that she looked at Evelyn with resentment, the hatred in her eyes seemingly about to overflow, and her fists couldn’t help but clench tightly.
“Evelyn, how come you are here?” Ava asked.
Evelyn thought, ‘Oh, no wonder they are lovers. Their ways of greeting are almost the same.
Evelyn sneered, ignoring Ava, and pulled Zoey to move a few steps to the side. The crowd that was blocked at the door then filed out. Seeing Zoey, they just nodded in greeting, as Zoey only played a minor role in the movie. In public, Ava put on her smiling face again, but as soon as they left, she immediately glared at Evelyn with resentment.
Ava thought. How is she here? Did Caleb just go out to meet her Thinking of this, Ava couldn’t help but step forward.
Zoey frowned slightly and took a step forward. As if she was meeting Ava for the first time, there was a hint of surprise in her eyes. “Ava? Do you know Evelyn?”

Her face fell as she recalled her own lapse in composure upon seeing Evelyn earlier, chiding herself for reacting so impulsively. Ava’s expression was a whirlwind of emotions as she set her gaze upon Evelyn, eyes laced with regret. “Um, Evelyn and 1… we had a little misunderstanding” Ava said, her voice tinged with a plea for sympathy. “It’s not a big deal, really. Evelyn’s just been, you know, less than eager to let it go, so I guess I was kind of shocked to bump into her out of the blue like that.”
Evelyn looked away, wanting to laugh upon hearing the words. Ava was truly an international star. With such an act, Evelyn would have believed in what Ava said if she weren’t the person involved
Evelyn wanted to cross her arms but suddenly found that she couldn’t lift her hand. She had no choice but to put her hands in her trouser pockets and look imposingly at Ava, who was playing innocent. “Ms. Davenport, are you talking about someone else? What misunderstanding could there be between you and me?”
A familiar sound of footsteps echoed through the corridor. Evelyn’s eyelashes quivered lightly. After five years, she could now discern them from several meters away. The sound of footsteps grew closer and closer. Evelyn looked straight at Ava and saw her staminering. She was laughing inwardly.
“Misunderstanding? A misunderstanding of you and my ex-husband having sex? Or is it a misunderstanding that a famous, trending celebrity like you played the role of a mistress to my ex husband? Ms. Davenport, I would like to forgive you, but who is going to forgive the little remaining dignity that you have Evelyn asked.
“You!” Ava’s face Jurned pale in a flash. In a panic, she glanced around, fearing that others might have heard. As she turned her head, she immediately saw Caleb, who had just approached them.
