“Hmph, at least you have some self–awareness. Ava had already come to her realization by this moment, and she kept what Evelyn had done to her in mind.
She also knew that if she continued to make trouble here, neither of the two men remaining would take her side.
“Mrs. Mercer, honestly, this isn’t something I should be bringing up. But I’m coming to you now because things have reached a critical point. You’ve probably seen the latest headlines about the Mercer Group; there’s been some drama inside the company. We’re facing challenges on all fronts. I mention this knowing full well the boss might get mad at me for doing so, but I believe he’d be even more upset if anything bad happened to the Mercer Group.
“Even if you don’t want to do it for the boss’s sake, please, for his mother’s sake. I hope you can lend a hand to the Mercer Group Could you do that?” Colin asked with utmost respect.
“Evelyn, you are not feeling well… Aron stood up and kindly reminded Evelyn, hoping that she could refuse this.
The fact that Evelyn and Caleb didn’t divorce was out of his control. He didn’t know how many variables would happen if he let Evelyn entangled with the affairs of the Mercer Group again.
