Chapter 4

Simon did not answer me, but his hand slid up to my waist. His touch was cold and electrifying.

“I don’t mind your incubus form. I think it’s sexy,” I continued, reaching out to trace my fingers along the lines of his waist.

The comment section was in an uproar. “Jessica’s playing with fire. She really shouldn’t be touching him right now!”

Simon’s crimson eyes snapped up to meet mine as his hands tightened around my waist. “Jessica, just tell me what you want.”

I didn’t actually know where I was going with this, either. All I knew was that I didn’t want to be locked up in his study.

Simon owned all of Morrison Group. He was powerful. I was no match for him.

If I wanted to calm him down, I had to try a softer approach.

Gathering my courage, I wrapped my arms around his neck and awkwardly pressed a kiss to his lips.

His breathing grew erratic. I felt his body temperature spike suddenly.

His ascetic mask cracked in that instant. He grabbed my hand and looked at me darkly. “You know I’m an incubus, Jessica. Do you also know that incubi have heat cycles?

“I’m currently in the middle of one.”
