Chapter 2
I couldn’t believe that this was the cold and distant Simon Morrison, CEO of the Morrison Group.
Trembling in shock, I quickly turned away, but his low, husky murmurs still found their way to my ears. “Jessie…”
“Jessica saw him! Oh my god, how is Simon going to live this down?”
“Oh, don’t worry. According to the extra chapter, Jessica will be locked up in the study tomorrow.”
“There will be a major twist tomorrow. Jessica will finally provoke Simon enough for him to snap!”
“See that custom-made whip? That will be used on Jessica tomorrow!”
Because of Simon’s behavior, I believed what the comments were saying without a doubt.
To protect myself, I decided to be careful from now on and avoid Simon as much as possible.
The next day, I went out of my way to steer clear of Simon, so we did not run into each other for the entire day.
At the end of the day, just as I let out a sigh of relief and prepared to take a shower, I saw Simon in the bathroom, completely naked.
He was half-leaning against the edge of the bathtub, his fair, toned chest completely exposed. Water droplets slid down his elegant neck, trickled over his collarbone, and rolled down his well-defined abs.
His incubus features were starting to show.
Before this, he would always be dressed in impeccably smart suits when around me. It was only now that I realized just how perfect his physique was.
Recalling what he had done with that body last night, my face instantly turned red. A sudden heat rushed up to my cheeks. Covering my face hurriedly, I quickly turned away.
“Why is Jessica covering her nose? Does Simon have BO? That shouldn’t be. The book says that Simon smells of nice cologne.”
“Could it be that she was scared by his incubus form and is trying to escape?”
“Damn. She’s good. Just that one simple action is enough to push Simon to the brink. He’s sensitive enough as it is.”
Meanwhile, Simon’s voice was as cold as ice as he spoke. “Jessica, why are you running? Do I disgust you so much, or are you simply afraid of me in my incubus form?”
“I bet that no matter what she answers, Simon will make her cry anyway.”
“If she really tried to escape, her fate would be even worse.”
