Leen noticed his actions bet did not stop him and just let him follow into the elevator
Jeremiah stood firmly beside him, making his intentions clear. He was watching Leen and would not let him take advantage of Victoria.
Leon did not even spare him a glance.
Before long, they arrived at the eighteenth floor
Seving Leon return, the bodyguards at the entrance nodded slightly in greeting. Thomas, who was standing nearby, also spoke. “Mr. Quigley” “Where’s Edwin Leon asked.

Leon give a slight ned and stepped inside. Jeremiah tollowed closely behind.
“There’s nothing else for you to do here. Head back,” Leon said as he shifted Victoria in his arms.

The bodyguards responded in unison. “Understood.”
Jesh frowned. “What?”
Before he could take another step inside, four bodyguards grabbed him firmly and carmed him away, giving him no chance to resist.
Leen watched as he was taken downstairs. Only after everyone had disappeared from sight did be close the door and carry Victoria further inside. Before he could reach the bedroom, a small tipine appeared in the living room.
Edwin tilted his head back, looking at Victoria in his arms. His delicate face carried an unusual seriousness. “What happened to Mommy?”
“She drank too much. Lead answered truthfully
Ewan toowned. “Mommy never drinks outside”
In other words, if she drank, it had to have something to do with Leon
Leon did not deny it. He admitted it outright, saying, “I won’t argue. She drank because of me, but I did it to teach her a lesson.”

Sence Bim, he had never seen her drink
Perhaps it was the comfort of familiar surroundings or hearing the voice of the person she cared about most. Half–conscious, Victoria slowly opened her eyes. Her mind was still hary, and the first thing she asked was, “Has Edwin made it home?”
Her voice was fragmented and unclear, but both Leon and Edwin understood her.
Edherin pushed his father aside and grabbed Victoria’s slender fingers with his tiny hands, “Mommy, I’m right here!”
“Sweetheart.” Victoria reached out instincthely to touch his face.
“I’m here,” Edwin said softly.
Victoria looked at him, but upon closer inspection, her gaze was clearly unfocused. She was keeping her eyes open purely through willpower. “Did you eath
“I did. Jeremiah took me out for a big meal. He also cold me lots of interesting stories. I just walked him downstats, Edwin replied, his voice gentle. He kyw exactly what to case her mind.
Leon’s gaze darkened slightly. “What
