Give Love Another Chance Chapter 49

Chapter 49

Malcolin’s tone was laced with subtle amusement, hinting at something unspoken, You know perfectly well whether it’s nonsense or not. Kody, I suggest you head back now. You wouldn’t want to keep that lady waiting, would you?”

Kody broke into a sweat, flustered and struggling to explain himself. Desperately, he glanced at Janice, silently pleading for help

Although Janice was drunk, her mind wasn’t entirely clouded. Sensing what was going on, she said, Kody, if you have something to take care of, just go

I’ll be fine.”

He wanted to say something, but Malcolm silenced him with a single glance

Even Janice is telling you to leave. What are you still standing here for?Malcolm’s voice was cold, carrying a commanding authority that brooked

argument

Kody gritted his teeth, but in the end, he relented. Casting a deep look at Janice, he said with concern, Janice, take care of yourself. I’ll go now.”

With that, he turned and walked out of the bar without hesitation

As Janice watched his retreating figure, a strange and inexplicable sense of loss welled up in her chest

THO

Malcolm didn’t miss the subtle shift in her expression. Although he was furious, he suppressed his anger. He asked coldly, What’s this? Can’t bear to see him go?

Snapped out of her daze, Janice rolled her eyes. Irritated, she said, It’s none of your business!”

Malcolm let out a cold chuckle but said nothing more. Without warning, he grabbed Janice’s arm and began pulling her toward the exit

Hey! What are you doing? I can walk on my own!Janice said angrily as she was being dragged out

Malcolm ignored her, showing her into the car with a forceful motion before getting inside himself

The entire drive was cloaked in tense silence, his expression dark and unyielding. When they arrived at the hotel, he dragged her to a room without a word

The suffocating intensity of his mood sobered Janice up considerably, and she silently cursed him for being so dramatic

Malcolm tossed Janice onto the bed with a loud thad. She rubbed her shoulder, which ached from the impact, and her anger flared instantly. Malcolm, what the hell is wrong with you?”

Malcolm towered over her, his eyes shadowed and unreadable, like a storm brewing just beyond the horizon

He leaned down, his breath hot and heavy as he moved in to kiss her

Janice turned her head quickly, avoiding him, and pushed him away with force. Glaring at him, she asked, Malcolm, what the hell do you think you’re doing? Don’t forget, you have a fiancée!”

Malcolm wasn’t fazed by it. He straightened up, slipping his hands into his pockets. He replied with a mocking tone, Oh, now you remember I have a fiancée? Funny, considering who was in my bed just a few days ago.”

That was a mistake! I was out of my mind back then!Janice replied with a firm attitude. Malcolm, it’s over between us. Don’t contact me again, especially not under these circumstances!”

Malcolm’s expression turned grim as he said coldly, It’s over, huh? Then what about my photos? What are you going to do with them?”

Janice froze for a moment, then quickly realized he was talking about the photos she had secretly taken of him

She let out a cold laugh, pulled her phone from her bag, and deleted the photos right in front of Malcolm. Tossing the phone at him, she said with an icy tone, There. Is this enough?”

Watching her actions, his gaze was unreadable as

his eyes were clouded with emotion

Janice was done arguing. As she spoke, she picked up her bag from the floor. Malcolm, let me make it clear againExcept for business, don’t ever contact me again!”

The sudden ringing of the phone shattered the tense atmosphere in the room

Malcolm took a deep breath, suppressing the storm of emotions inside him, and glanced at his phone

As Janice sharply caught the brief flicker of irritation in his eyes, she was secretly pleased. The timing couldn’t have been better She grabbed her bag and left
