Garrett’s paze landed on Kody, who was holding Janice’s hand. A surge of anger consumed him.
He pointed at Janice and scolded her, “You’re so shameless. All you do is flirt with everyone around you, just like your mom. Like mother, like daughter.”
Janice glared at Garrett. “What did you just say?”
“What’s wrong with what I said? Are you actually considering hitting me? I’m your dad” Garrett tensed up and shouted with a hint of cowardice.
Malcolm frowned. He stepped in front of Janice and said firmly, “Mr. Ludwig, that’s enough.”
Garrett was rendered speechless, yet the weight of Malcolm’s identity forced him to stifle his anger.
Just then, the doctor entered and examined their injuries. “It’s nothing serious. There’s no need to be hospitalized. Just make sure to go home and rest
well.”
Reina felt distressed upon hearing it. She gently gestured toward the scratch on her arm and expressed her concern, saying, “Doctor, what if this leaves a scar? I’m about to marry Mr. Gomez soon.
Janice sneered, shooting her a cold glare. “Getting married? Do you really think that’s in your future? Let me make myself clear. I’ll ensure that the Ludwig family endures chaos and a life far more tormenting than death itself.”
With that, Janice grabbed her bag and exited the ward without looking back

He fully recognized Reina’s deception and contemplated her intentions. “Mr. Ludwig, I hope this will be the last time.” Malcolm’s tone was composed yet exuded an undeniable authority.
Garrett felt a surge of panic. He nodded emphatically and replied, “Absolutely. Don’t worry, Malcolm. I’ll make sure to teach her a lesson when I return. Without uttering another word, Malcolm turned and exited the ward.
Janice steadied herself, walking out of the hospital weekly. The bright sunlight hit her, causing her to squint in discomfort. Kody’s concerned voice followed. “Let me take you home.”
