are you doing?
“You already know the answer,” Malcolm replied hoarsely, suppressing his desire.
Janice was amused. She locked eyes with him, revealing no sign of vulnerability. “What should I know? Why did you leave your fiancée alone at night to see me, your ‘old lover?
“You!” Malcolm felt hurt by her words. He picked her up and threw her onto the bed, pressing down on her.
“Janice, is it really necessary for you to speak that way?”

Janice set the documents aside and smiled. “What could possibly happen to me?”
“Why was your phone off yesterday? I tried calling you multiple times but couldn’t reach you,” he asked, approaching her desk with a hint of worry.
“My phone died, and I forgot to charge it,” she explained calmly, though a twinge of guilt lingered inside her.
“By the way, you mentioned yesterday that your house was on fire. What happened? Are you okay?” he asked concernedly.
“Nothing happened. The neighbor made a mistake.” Janice replied calmly, sipping water to hide her guilt.
Kody intended to ask another question, but his attention was abruptly drawn to Janice’s flawless neck, where a prominent red mark stood out starkly against her smooth skin.
“Janice, what happened to your neck? It looks like a mosquito bite?” Kody asked, feeling puzzled.
