“Nothing!” he spat out through gritted teeth.

Before Reina could finish her sentence, Malcolm Interjected Impatiently. “I said everything is lin
have a lot of work to handle.”
Now, all he wanted was to get rid of Reina so he could deal with Janice, who was hiding under his desk.
f you have no other questions, you can leave. I still
Seeing his dark expression, Reina didn’t dare to say anything more. She simply bit her lip and looked at him with a defected expression.
Malcolm remained unfazed and immediately called for his secretary, Sarah Williams, to usher Reina out.
“Please escort Ms. Ludwig out.”
Sarah quickly picked up on the situation and immediately understood Malcolm’s order. She stepped forward and said politely, “Ms. Ludwig, please follow
Reina stomped her feet in frustration. She opened her mouth to speak but was immediately silenced by Malcolm’s sharp glare. Reluctantly, she followed Sarah out, glancing back repeatedly as she left.
The moment the door clicked shut, Malcolm slammed his hand on the desk, sending papers flying everywhere. He stared coldly at Janice, who was hiding under it.
“Janice, what exactly are you trying to do?”
Janice calmly craveled out and casually patted the nonexistent dust off her clothes. She said with a hint of mockery, “Keep your voice down, Mr. Gomez. You wouldn’t want your precious fiancée coming back, would you?”
Malcolm’s eyes twitch with anger. He had never met anyone who had a longue as sharp as Janice. She always had a way of riling him up.
“Spit it out. What exactly do you want?” Malcolm took a deep breath before speaking. He wanted to see just what kind of game Janice was playing at
Janice got straight to the point. “I want you to help me retrieve the surveillance footage to prove my innocence.”
“Is that it?” Malcolm raised an eyebrow. There was no way Janice would simply let things go so easily after he had pushed her under his desk just now.
“Of course not,” Janice said with a devious smile. “I want a private office near yours so I can report work to you at any time.”
Malcolm sneered at her request. “Janice, don’t get too greedy
“I’m doing this for work and the company. Mr. Gomez, surely you won’t refuse such a small request, would you?” Janice pressed on, unwilling to back downl
Malcolm looked at Janice who stood confidently before him, finding himself utterly conflicted. He was well aware that her true intentions were not as simple as they appeared, but for some reason, he couldn’t bring himself to refuse her.
“Fine, I’ll agree to your request” Malcolm finally gave in
“Then it’s settled. You can’t go back on your words, Mr. Gomez,” Janice said with a satisfied smile before turning to leave.
“Wait.” Malcolm’s deep and authoritative voice suddenly rang out, causing Janice to stop in her tracks. She internally cursed but still put on a smile as she turned back to face him
“What is it, Mr. Gomez? Do you have any other instructions?
Malcolm’s eyes darkened. He strode toward her and grabbed her wrist tightly. “Janice, you had the guts to start a fire, so you better be prepared to put it
Before she could react, she was pulled into Malcolm’s private lounge. The door slammed shut, trapping her in the small space.
“Malcolm, you…” Janice had wanted to speak but was pinned against the door. Malcolm’s broad frame loomed over her, exuding power and dominance.
The lounge was dimly lit, and the air was thick with tension.
Janice was caught off guard as he suddenly leaned in to kiss her. She desperately tried to push him away, but his grip was unyielding, keeping her locked.
In his embrace.
