Janice ignored his anger and smiled sweetly. “Mr. Gomez, can’t you talk nicely? You look quite frightening”
Malcolm gritted his teeth, his chest heaving with frustration. He was obviously enraged by her ignorant behavior.
“Talk nicely?” he repeated. He was grabbing her wrist so tightly that her bones were about to break.
“I saw you messing around with another man, How do you expect me to talk to

“Messing around?” Janice raised an eyebrow. She pretended to cover her mouth in shock. “Mr. Gomez, don’t slender me. We weren’t messing around. I nearly pot..”

Malcolm was furious at her behavior. Of course he knew that she wasn’t that kind of woman. He also knew that she was just trying to piss him off.
Nevertheless, he couldn’t control his emotions. The moment he saw her being so close to that man, he felt like breaking the man’s legs.

Janice laughed inwardly, pleased to see Malcolin trying to control himself. However, she didn’t let it show on her face. She got even closer to him until their noses almost touched.

Malcolm’s breath caught in his throat. He looked at her lips and gulped. The urge to kiss her hard to show her the consequences of provoking him surged within him, but he stopped himself.
He let go of her abruptly and stepped backward.
“Whatever,” he spat. He turned and left as if he was escaping something
Janice’s smile faded away after he walked out. She wasn’t a pushover who could easily be taken advantage of. She took out her phone and brought up the surveillance footage.
Janice scotted. The person who had dared to touch her would pay the price.
She contacted the person in charge of the renovation company.
“I demand an explanation. Why would your staff do something like that?” she asked.
The person in charge watched the surveillance footage Janice sent him and broke into a cold sweat. He immediately recognized the man in the footage as someone who had been fired a few days ago.
“I’m very sorry, Ms. Ludwig! Our company was unaware of this. That man must have acted alone. I will find him immediately and compensate you!” he said hastily.

The man went pale and fell to his knees. He pleaded, “Ms. Ludwig, please forgive me! I made a stupid mistake. Please give me a chance!”
Janice remained unyielding as she stared down at him. “I can let you off the hook, but you must tell me everything you know about Reina Ludwig,” she sald
The man trembled with fear. He knew he had messed with the wrong person this time.
Janice wasn’t a saint. Anyone who pissed her off wouldn’t get away with it easily.

Janice wasn’t surprised. Who else would try so hard to hurt her besides Reina?
Right then, her phone screen lit up. It was a text from Kody asking her to meet up at their regular café.

“Janice, are you okay?” asked Kody worriedly. “I heard about the incident with the renovation company. It’s outrageous! How could they take advantage of you like that?”
Janice took a sip of coffee and said coolly, “I’m fine. I can deal with minor issues like that.”
“That’s good then.” Kody breathed a sigh of relief and suddenly thought of something
He said solemnly, “Don’t worry, Janice. I already told the renovation company that I’ll monitor the renovation myself, I won’t let something like that happen again!”

Besides, she could make use of this opportunity to know more about Malcolm. Reina had kept attacking her recently, all because of the man.
