Janice shifted uneasily under Malcolm’s intense gaze. Feigning composure, she coughed and asked, “Mr. Gomez, why are you looking at me you think 1 lured Heina here?”

Malcolm just stared at her coldly with a warning look in his eyes
His stare made Janice uneasy, but she kept her calm. She laughed and said playfully, “I’ll get the wrong idea if you keep looking at me like that.”
Malcolm snorted and sat on the couch. “Get out,” he said coldly.
Janice left since he wasn’t in a welcoming mood.
Once the door closed, the study fell into silence. Janice’s words kopt playing in Malcolm’s mind, and he grew increasingly annoyed. He didn’t know why he felt this way toward her..
She was just an unimportant woman, but he kept finding himself giving in to her. This was an unfamiliar feeling for him.
A few days later, Janice finalized the location for the wellness center and discussed the renovation process with the workers outside the door.
Suddenly, a red Ferrari sports car pulled up in front of her with a screech. The door flew open, and Reina stomped out in high heels.
She was dressed in a fiery red dress that complemented her figure, looking even more gorgeous with makeup on.
Striding toward Janice, she asked, “What did you mean by sending me that address yesterday?”
Janice chuckled, casually twirling a lock of her hair. “Since you’re getting married soon, I just thought it would be good for you to get familiar with where your lancé stays so that it’s easier for you to…”
She dragged her words out and finished in a challenging tone, “Catch him cheating next time.”
Reina stiffened. Janice felt inwardly pleased with Reina’s upset expression and intentionally pulled her collar aside, revealing the red marks on ber
collarbone.
Reina’s gaze zeroed in on the marks, and she narrowed her eyes. Those weren’t just any red marks. Those were……
Her fury erupted, and Reina could no longer keep her cool. She raised her hand to slap Janice
Right then, a loose patch of dried paint fell from the top of the entrance directly toward Reina.
“Watch out!” Janice shouted and reached out to pull Reina back.
But it was too late. The patch of paint fell onto Reina’s shoulder, breaking apart in a cloud of dust.
Reina screamed and fell to the ground. Although it pleased Janice, she had to feign concern since they were in public.
She went to Reina and asked, “Are you okay? Do you need me to check on your wound?”
Reina looked pale, and she was obviously frightened. She shoved Janice aside with a look of hatred. “Stop pretending to be nice! I can manage just fine,” she snapped.
Janice laughed but didn’t insist. She brushed the dust off her clothes and glanced at Reina coldly.
“I won’t insist then,” she said, shrugging.
Reina pushed herself up off the ground, struggling to her feet. She looked like a mess with dust all over her dress.
“You..” She pointed at Janice and said shakily, “You’ll regret this one
one day!”
With that, she turned and walked away from the wellness center stiffly.

After finishing up at the medical center, Janice drove back to the villa. The moment she stepped into the living room, she felt a chill in the air. Malcolm looked up when he heard the door open and rested his gaze on Janice. “You’re back?” he asked with a hint of warning.
Janice raised an eyebrow and tossed her handbag onto the couch. She walked to the wine cabinet and poured herself a glass of red wine.
Leaning against the bar elegantly, she met his gaze. “Did I do something wrong?”
“You’d know,” Malcolm replied with a hint of displeasure. He stood up and walked toward her. “Reina is my fiancée. You’re making things difficult for me by treating her that way.”
