“Was there something you weren’t satisfied with that night?”
“You were trembling the whole time.”
don’t know what was on your mind that night. But at the very least, while you were with me, you forgot about it for a little while. Wouldn’t you say I made you happy, even if just for a
Even his casual remark, “I went to the hotel with you because I was attracted to you“, kept replaying in her head. So, he thought she was attractive too.
Ingrid frowned and suddenly opened her eyes in annoyance. She wasn’t mad at Jasper. She was mad at bersell for letting a few words send her into a spiral.
It was just a fling. Nothing more. He was probably casting a wide net, yet here she was, overanalyzing every detail. This was ridiculous.
Just as she was beating herself, the doorbell rang. Ingrid got out of bed and opened the door. Standing outside was Brandon

Ingrid found his hypocritical suspicion laughable. Suppressing her irritation, she said, “I won’t see you out.”
Brandon’s expression grew even colder. She had always been docile with him. Since when did she develop such an attitude? Could Jasper really be inside?
“Who’s in there?” he asked

randon turned to her, his gaze fixeden het lace. “Why did you break up with me?”
Ingrid’s tone was indifferent. “Got bored”
His bows furrowed.
She crossed her arms. “Are you leaving or not?”
Her answer sounded as dismissive as tossing a coin to a beggar Brandon couldn’t accept it. “Fine. Breakup if you want, but don’t take me for a fool”
