Thea was helpless against the thick–skinned Ollie.
She gritted her teeth. “In that case, shouldn’t I thank you, Mr. Windrow?”
“Of course.” Ollie’s smile was bright, and when he smiled, there were dimples on his face.
Joyce thought, ‘No wonder there are still many women who want to climb into his bed even though he is a useless profligate!

He smiled at Joyce and said politely, “Miss Maddox, Mr. Hendrix has something to discuss with you.”
“With me?” Joyce pointed at herself in doubt.
Darwin nodded. “Yes, Mr. Hendrix just got off the plane. I’ll bring you there first.”
Thea glanced at Darwin. “Why didn’t he send me a message?”
Darwin smiled and said, “Mr. Hendrix said that you must still be busy and have no time. He came to Silvercreek and specially prepared a gift for you. It’s in the room upstairs. Mrs. Hendrix, why don’t you go check it out?”
Joyce said, “I’ll go over first. Perhaps it’s about the Maddox family. Hurry up and go back to rest. Don’t wait for me tonight.”
Thea nodded. After watching the two of them leave, she went upstairs.
Before she entered the password, she saw that the door was ajar

Thea only felt her heart beating very fast, as if something had suddenly filled her entire heart.

They had a solid hug.
Nicolas’s unique scent instantly enveloped her.
All the confusion and worry instantly disappeared. Thea tightened her grip. It felt like a dream.
She thought of something and raised her head. She rebuked, “You’re too much. Why did you have to trick Joyce away? Aren’t you afraid that I’ll be angry that you made her leave for nothing
Nicolas wrapped his arms around her waist, unwilling to let go. “Don’t think that I don’t know what you’re thinking. You said that you wanted to stay with her. It means that you’re not giving me a chance. Are the requirements for this month of probation so strict?

After taking a deep breath, she said seriously, “Nicolas, we can’t.
As expected, Nicolas stopped. He seemed to still be obedient, but his black eyes looked at her with a hint of resentment.
He sat up and tidied up his messy clothes, returning to his usual serious self.
He said, “Sorry.”
Thea stared at his red ears and chuckled. She found it very interesting.
This was the first time she had seen such expressions on his face
