“New boss?” Hebecca asked in surprise.
“It’s along story. I’ll explain Inter,” Vespera responded
Hebecca was briefly puzzled, but when she saw the man stepping out of the Bentley, her confusion turned into a gasp. Ever since the charity gala, when Dominle had unexpectedly stepped in to help Vera get justice, everyone had been left in shock Footage of that fascinating night was still circulating among the elite social circles.

Vespera went speechless as she saw Rebecca’s probing gaze.
“Stop with that wild imagination of yours. He’s just my new boss.”
“Just?” Rebecca didn’t believe her, especially after seeing how ridiculously handsome the man in the footage was.
Vespera had nothing to say. No matter what it looked like, Dominic was indeed just her boss.
Soon, everyone got out of their cars. Rebecca was slower since she had to retrieve the wheelchair and give Vespera a hand. By the time they reached the security gate, everyone in Dominic’s car had gone inside.
As they approached the entrance, Raymond stood there holding the door open with a smile, gesturing for them to enter first. Meanwhile, Dominic was already in the elevator. There were three other vacant elevators, and it would have been fine to take another one. But doing so would feel like they were deliberately avoiding Dominic. As they hesitated, unsure of which elevator to take, Raymond suddenly swooped in and helpfully pulled Vespera’s wheelchair inside.
Indeed, he pulled her straight into the elevator. She didn’t mind since he was only trying to help. The problem was that after he pulled her in, he stepped aside, leaving her face–to- Lace with a pair of long legs.
Those long legs in tailored light gray suit pants belonged to none other than her new boss. She was barted to find herself directly in front of his legs
Rebecca stood behind her with the same stunned expression. Domink remained distant and unreadable while the entire elevator fell into an eerie silence. “Mr. Reid, you guys were driving pretty slow back there” Vespera lifted her head with effort, forcing a small laugh as she tried to lighten the atmosphere.
As she spoke, she discreetly stretched her hand behind her, nudging Rebecca’s hand as a signal to turn her wheelchair around.
“When you’re in an elevator, you should press the button for your floor before making small talk,” Dominic said, lowering his head slightly. His tone carned a teasing edge and a tant hint of indulgence that was hard to notice.
She awkwardly turned to press the button for her floor, then gently pinched Rebecca’s hand as a reminder.
“Oh!” Rebecca quickly caught on
The elevator was slightly larger than those in other buildings, but with five people inside and a wheelchair, maneuvering wasn’t easy.
Rebecca stepped back and accidentally bumped into Gerard’s arm. As she apologized, she unknowingly pushed the wheelchair forward. Vespera suddenly realized her face was headed straight for Dominic’s legs.
“Shoot” Panic shot through her, and she instinctively reached out to stop herself–only to end up with both hands pressed firmly against his legs.
Her eyes widened in shock. She froze for a solid five seconds before yanking her hands away. The sheer awkwardness made her feel like her soul had left her body. Dominic’s flawless face took on a faint blush.
