Luke was still reeling from Vespera’s declaration that she wanted a divorce when he heard Tina’s venomous words. It was like a thunderclap striking him, leaving him stunned. “Lake, she’s already tainted. Last night, she slept with eight men and one of them even has HIV. She’s filthy, rotten. She’s complete disgrace! Do you still want her?”
Tina’s venomous insults echoed through the room.
Jealousy and frustration clouded her mind, and she didn’t stop to think that her words could expose her actions. What she had done was a crime, something that could lend her in prison.

Then she turned to Felicia. “Is this your precious daughter–in–law? The one you’re so proud of? The daughter–in–law who can help you commit crimes and end up in prison together?”
Felicia’s throat tightened, leaving her unable to say a word.
Luke’s expression darkened, his eyes cold and terrifying.
The Sowle family members were visibly unsettled.
The guests began to put the pieces together. They finally realized that Tina and Felicia had secretly conspired against Vespera.
This world explain why Vespera had made such a scene.
Her wrist was injured, and there were signs she had been physically assaulted
Even the most promiscuous woman wouldn’t sleep with eight men in one night, especially not with someone carrying a disease. Even if she wanted to end it all, she wouldn’t hurt herself like this

Tina was still oblivious to the seriousness of the situation, shouting out slanderous accusations against Vespera
Before she could say anything more, her throat was suddenly seized by Luke.
He dragged her in front of him, his eyes blazing with murderous intent. “What did you do to her? What did you do to her?” he roared, his heart breaking in anger and despair. Tina gasped for air as he gripped her throat. It was then that fear struck her heart.
She struggled, trying to pry his hand off her throat. He seemed. He seemed like he wanted to kill her.
Austin and hold quickly reacted. They rushed forward to pry Lake’s hand off of her, pulling her to safety behind them.
Austi, said, “Luke, calm down. To might just be rambling.”
Tina’s sisar, Laurel Sowle, also stepped up to defend Tina “Even if it’s true, you can’t accuse Tha of setting Vespera up without any evidence! What if Vespera just couldn’t stand the loneliness, went out and got caught? The news could have easily reached Tina’s ears
“she knew the truth would eventually come to light and reach your ears, so she used this self–inflicted injury to frame Tina.”
Vespers wanted to laugh when she heard that, but she didn’t immediately retortor argue back with Laurel.
She knew some people just had to keep playing their parts.
