Dominic reached for his phone as the notification bell rang
The moment he clicked on the video Calvert had sent him, a clip paired with a romantic song played on his screen.
Gerard, who was setting the table for breakdast beside him, chockded and said, “This song is pretty…”
Before he could finish, he looked up and saw Dominic’s expression, which looked like it was ready to freeze the entire place. He immediately thought the song was scary instead of romantic.
“Let’s eat downstairs,” Dominic said.
He turned off his phone and strutted out of his hotel room,
as if he were ready to kill
Gerard wasn’t sure if Dominic was heading to battle or just to breakdast, and he was still confused about the song Dominic had played on fils phone.
While still puzzled by the entire situation, his phone buzzed. He looked and saw a video Calvert had sent to him.
When he clicked to view it, the same song from before played and echoed through the hallway. He cursed under his breath for making such a stupid mistake and quickly turned it oft
Dominic had clearly heard it and paused mid–step, without turning his head, he extended his hand, gesturing for Gerard to hajd him his phone.
“Give it here,” he said firmly.

Without a word, Dominic deleted the video and returned the phone. He continued walling, his eyes narrowing
Gerard quickly put his phone back in his pocket and followed him.
As they headed downstairs, he cracked his head, trying to figure out what Calvert was trying to accomplish. Was he trying to provoke Dominic into going downstairs to “snatch” Vespera away from Luke?
If that was his plan, it was way too risky. Vespera might suffer because of it.
Then he recalled last night in the living room when Calvert was jubilantly leaming how to add music and füters to a video clip with Rebecca.
Rebecca’s exact words were that whatever concept you needed to convey in a video had to be paired with the right music and filter.
Of course, there was nothing wrong with what she had said. But for someone like Calvert, who had been trained in isolation since he was young, has understanding of things had always been different from others. He had his own logic.

Meanwhile, downstairs, the three people were busy figuring out what to do

Both Rebecca and Byron froze. A crazy person, they could handle. But a crazy person who could fight? That was a whole different level: Luke grabbed Vespera by the hand and pulled her into a seat. He set their hands on the table, keeping them locked together.
Since Hry were holding hands, they couldn’t exactly dive into the breakfast buffet. Luke then signaled to a walter to order some food.
The waiter glanced at their hands, then at the table, unsure what to make of it. Sure, they were in love, but did they really need to hold hands while eating? Vespera placed her hand on her forehead and scanned the room. Then, she saw Rebecca not far away.
