Chapter 160
Vespera looked calm and composed, but from her stuttering, it was easy to tell that she was beyond anxious.
She couldn’t care less if he was having another wave of the drug. All she knew was that she wasn’t going to be his cure.
“Didn’t you tell me it would work? I trust you,” Dominic said.
He shifted his position and pinned her down beneath him. She could feel his hot breath from his icy lips inching closer to her face.
She used all her strength to escape his grasp, clinging to the edge of the tub as she began to climb out. He followed her movements, pressing on her back from behind, careful not to let his crotch touch her.
She was now cornered at one end of the tub, her back to Dominic.
“Ms. Gildon, why are you on your knees? Do you like this position?” he asked, his voice low and teasing.
At that moment, she hated herself for understanding what he meant. Her face flushed with
embarrassment.
Jordan had used such a strong drug on Dominic, and not even an hour–long ice bath could suppress its effects.
“You’re not in your right mind right now, so calm down. I’m not the one who drugged you; and don’t forget you have a reputation to uphold!” she exclaimed.
“I never cared about my reputation.” He breathed against her neck.
Vespera was on the verge of a breakdown. She struggled in the tub like a trapped fish,
desperate to escape.
Dominic was caught off guard by her reaction and started to lose his grip. She squirmed around, bouncing her body against his.
At first, he had erything under control. But thanks to her movements, he lost control of the “affected area“.
“Ston
moving!” he yelled, trying to hold her still.
Both of them froze.
Their bodies were pressed so closely together that even the slightest movement might set him
off.
Even the smallest ripple in the water felt like a crashing wave.

Vespera leaned against the tub. Her face burned. She shut her eyes, and in a moment like this, her mind came up with a joke–someone might die if they took in his monstrous tool.
Behind her, Dominic was breathing heavily. The icy water had turned lukewarm, and the temperature around them kept rising.
Sensing the shift in atmosphere, she didn’t dare move, let alone turn around. It was too risky. If she stayed still, she might be safe. If she moved, she might set him off.
After what felt like a decade, the silence was finally broken.
“Are you sure we have enough ice?” Dominic’s voice sounded strained, like he was trying hard to keep his control.
“Yes! Yes, we do! I’ll go get them!” she shouted, relieved.
He backed away and leaned against the other side of the tub.
Vespera jumped at the chance to escape. Before she knew it, she was already in the kitchen, dripping wet.
Still in shock, she stood there, forgetting why she had come. Once she gathered her thoughts, she considered leaving the villa altogether.
But after hesitating for ten minutes, she gritted her teeth and decided to take the ice upstairs. She planned to leave it at the bathroom door and dart back to her room to lock herself in.
Ironically, he had locked his door before she did.
She was at a loss for words. After everything that happened, she should be the one afraid and locking herself in her room.
She held the ice in her arms and walked off, confused.
Soon, morning came. By the time she woke up, it was already 9:00 am.
After returning to her room last night, she couldn’t fall asleep. She stayed alert for any sounds
from next door.
Nearly half an hour passed, and she confirmed that no noises were coming from Dominic’s room. Only then did she finally take a hot shower and go to bed.
With so much on her mind, sleep didn’t come easily. She only began to doze off around 6:00
- am.
When she finally woke up, she got dressed and walked to Dominic’s room. She wanted to knock but held back. Instead, she pressed her ear to the door, trying to hear if he was inside. Just then, the door opened.
