At the hospital, Caspian slumped against the wall. His eyes were fixed on the door of the operating mom as Shannon was wheeled inside. One of his bodyguards cautiously spoke up, “M–Mr. Bellwether, Ms. Barker refuses to undergo the surgery unless you stay with her.”
- Caspian let out a cold laugh, which made the bodyguard shudder in fear.
“Since she doesn’t want to do it, tie her to the operating table. No anesthesia, just cut the baby out of her.”
Elsie dared to hurt shannon. He wasn’t going to let her get away with it so easily.
“By the way, where are those homeless men?” he asked.

As he was about to lean back against the wall, a sharp gust of wind suddenly cut through the room.
A list slammed into his face, knocking him to the ground. A man straddled him, landing punch after punch on his face.
“Caspian Bellwether! Is this how you treat my sister?” Gabriel Caldwell’s eyes were bloodshot.
Shannon’s parents, Peter Caldwell and Julia Garrison, followed behind him. They looked equally furious.
