Chapter 11
A surge of anger flared up in Casplan as he charged forward, kicking the homeless men away.
“Get out of here!”
His eyes were filled with pain as he looked at the disheveled woman on the ground. Regret and guilt weighed heavily on his chest, suffocating him.
It was so close. If he had been even a moment later, the consequences would have been unimaginable..
Carefully, Caspian removed his coat and draped it over Shannon’s exposed body. Trembling, he cradled her in his arms.
“shannon.” His voler quivered, tinged with a faint sob.
Shannon struggled to open her eyes. Her voice was laced with bittemess as she asked, “Are you happy now, Caspian? Look at what I’ve become,” Caspian stiffened, his face contorted with agony. “No, 1 past wanted you to cool down. I didn’t know any of this would happen–t
“You didn’t know, but you didn’t protect me either! If it weren’t for your indulgence toward Elsie, how could she have done this to me?”
Shannon weakly pushed against his chest, trying to break free from his embrace.
But Caspian refused to let go. His voice was hoarse as he comforted her. “Shannon, please, don’t move. Your wounds might get worse.
He turned to his bodyguards and shouted, “Why are you standing there? Get a doctor now!”
The bodyguards exchanged confused glances, then looked at Elsie outside the villa, who was clutching her stomach and still crying out in pain
iste asked in disbelief, “What’s wrong with you, Casplan? Are you really fooled by her face? She’s been deliberately trying to get close to you! shouldn’t you have licked her out?”
Her friends quickly chimed in, supporting her daim.
“That’s right, Mr. Bellwether. We don’t know where she came from, but she showed up at the villa uninvited. It’s clear she’s up to no good. You should throw her out Leaving someone like her around is dangerous.”
“When Elsie tried to chase her out, this woman almost scarred her face. Luckily, Elsie reacted quickly, and we managed to hold her down.”
As they continued, Casplan’s face grew darker, his grip tightening.
He slowly turned to Elsie. His voice was thick with suppressed rage as he asked,
you were the one who started this?”
Elsie didn’t notice the anger in his words and thought he was praising her. She lifted her chin. “Yeah, I started it. But if it helps ease your worries, a little pain is nothing to me.”
”
Seeing this, her friends breathed a sigh of relief. They eagerly added to the praise.
“yeah, this bitch dared to hurt Elsie. To teach her a lesson, Elsie ruined her face, Worried she’d keep bothering you, Elsie even had a group of homeless men assault.
Elsie beamed with pride as she listened to their words, she thought this was exactly what Casplan wanted to see. He would surely praise her.
Indeed, Casplan sindled, but his eyes were dark, filled with a brewing lice. “In that case, I should really thank you.”
Elsie blushed. “Caspian, I—”
Before she could finish, Caspian’s cold voice interupted her.
“Go, get a life,” he ordered the bodyguard beside ham.
Else’s eyes widened with excitement. She thought plan believed she hadn’t punished Shannon eltough, and he wanted her face further disfigured. Eagerly, she urged the bodyguard, “Hurry up! Casplan said to bring a lilde!”
Caspian’s expression was cold, his face unreadable.
The bodyguard quickly handed over a sharp knife.
Elsie pointed at Shannon’s face and shouted, “Slashthat bitch’s face!”
Her eyes gleamed with madness, and her face flushed with excitement. All her attention was on Shannon, so she didn’t notice the bodyguard behind her who had quietly approached
Caspian’s lips curled into a sinister smile. “This fe is for you.”
Before Elle could react, the bodyguard behind her kicked her in the knee. Then, he restrained her hands, malding sure she couldn’t move.
Another bodyguard grabbed her face. The life in his hand flashed with a cold gleams, reflecting Elsie’s terrified eyes.
