Chapter 39 The Promotion
When Maxwell knocked on the door and came in, he felt terrifying pressure.
“Mr. Ainsworth, the surveillance video at the staircase on the second floor of B building has been copied,” Maxwell said in fear.
Theodore turned around and looked at the projection screen.
The ten–minute surveillance video showed how Grace made things difficult for Audrey and tried to push her downstairs.
Maxwell was frightened when he saw Grace rushing toward Audrey. If Audrey had been slow, she would have fallen downstairs.
“Tell Grace to be here,” Theodore ordered sternly.

“OK,” Maxwell responded, thinking that Grace had put herself. into trouble. No matter how much Theodore disliked Audrey, it couldn’t change the fact that Audrey was still his wife. Grace’s behavior meant that she didn’t take Audrey’s identity seriously, which was no different from provoking Theodore.
However, Maxwell didn’t expect Theodore to ask him to bring up the surveillance video.
Theodore had never cared about such kind of thing before.

Otherwise, Grace would not be so arrogant as to dare to do that to Audrey in public.
Maxwell walked out of the office. He urned around and glanced at Theodore, who looked cold, through the half–open door.
Maxwell wondered whether he was overthinking.
He felt Theodore’s attitude toward Audrey seemed to have changed.
Remembering Theodore’s instruction, Maxwell stopped wondering and stepped into the elevator to see Grace.
At the same time, in the office, the surveillance video finished playing.
Theodore frowned and pressed his lips. He stared at the screen and watched Audrey turn to leave. It seemed as if something was slipping away from his control, and he felt irritated.
He took out his phone and made a call.
“Well, what’s wrong? Why does Mr. Ainsworth have time to call me now?” the man on the other end of the line teased as soon as the call was connected.
“Where are you?”
The man realized there was something wrong with Theodore and became solemn. “Landen and I are at Misty Villa.”

At that moment, Maxwell had just come out of the elevator with Grace, who had treated her flesh wound. Seeing Theodore, Maxwell was stunned. “Mr. Ainsworth, do you want to go out?”
Theodore nodded and glanced at Grace expressionlessly.
Grace looked down. Noticing Theodore’s cold gaze, she couldn’t help but feel nervous.
“Maxwell, book her a flight to Mazaida tonight.” Then, Theodore said to Grace, “You are not allowed to come back within three months without my permission.”
Grace looked up, and her eyes widened. “Theodore, I don’t want to go to Mazaida. You can’t send me there.”
She didn’t know anyone there. How could she go there?
However, Theodore wouldn’t take back his words. As soon as Grace finished her words, Theodore walked into the elevator.
“Theodore…”
Grace wanted to rush into the elevator, but the doors suddenly closed in front of her.

In the office of the Third Group in June Architectural Design Institute.
“Slap, slap, slap!”
Penelope clapped her hands and walked into the office. “I will treat everyone to a meal tonight. No one is allowed to be absent.”
“Ms. Whitmore, has something good happened to you? You’re so generous.” Chloe came over. “Have you got a promotion?”
Penelope poked Chloe’s forehead. “You are the most well–informed.”
When the others in the office heard that, they cheered, “Congratulations, Ms. Whitmore.”
Chloe winked and smiled flatteringly, “Promotion is something important. Ms. Whitmore, since you are promoted, wouldn’t it be more appropriate to treat us at a high–end restaurant? For example, Misty Villa or something like that?”
Penelope knew that Chloe wanted to take the chance to make her spend more money.
However, she knew getting a promotion was not easy, so she agreed, “OK, let’s have dinner at Misty Villa tonight.”
“Ms. Whitmore, you are so great.”
Chloe took the lead in making a noise and turned to look at

Audrey paused. She nodded and stood up. Then, she followed Penelope into the office.
“Ms. Whitmore, sorry. I was not thoughtful enough about sending the document.” Audrey stood in front of the desk and looked at Penelope apologetically. However, she did not think that she had done anything wrong. She just felt guilty for causing Penelope trouble.
“What happened when delivering the document?” Penelope was confused.
Audrey was stunned.
Didn’t Penelope want to talk to her about that? Hadn’t Ains Group stopped its cooperation with June Architectural Design Institute?
Audrey thought about it and told Penelope what happened in Ains Group.
Penelope was surprised. “I want to talk to you about the project with Ains Group but not about what happened when you delivered the document. I had a discussion with the leaders. Since Ains Group agreed to cooperate with us because of your design draft, we hope you can be the chief designer of the project.”
