Audrey didn’t wait for Theodore to answer. She glanced at everyone around and walked out of the building.
“Maxwell.”

Audrey heard Theodore’s cold and deep voice. “Notify everyone that Audrey is not allowed to enter Ains Group again. Anyone who dares to let her in will be fired.”
Audrey paused. Then, she walked out of the building as if she had heard nothing.
Suddenly, a message popped up on her phone. It was from Penelope, asking her whether she had sent the document.
Audrey stopped and turned around. She looked up at the entrance of Ains Group’s building with mixed feelings.
She taught Grace a lesson in front of many people. Grace would definitely not let her go. Ains Group might soon stop its cooperation with June Architectural Design Institute.
Audrey had to think about how to explain it to Penelope.
The job at the design institute was her first job after graduation. Once the cooperation between June Architectural Design Institute and Ains Group was canceled, she would be fired no matter how she explained. However, she still wanted to explain

Thinking of that, Audrey turned and
ked across the street.
“Audrey, watch out!”
“Toot, toot!”
A sharp toot accompanied the voice. Audrey turned to look and
saw a car speeding toward her.
She was shocked.
There was no time to dodge.
Suddenly, someone grabbed her arm and pulled her.
Audrey threw herself into a warm and broad chest. A car drove. past her at a dizzying speed.
“Audrey, are you OK?”
Audrey was still in shock, and her face was pale..
Hearing the voice, she came back to her senses. When she
looked up, she met a pair of concerned eyes. She was stunned. It was Percival.
Realizing that she was still in Percival’s arms, Audrey took two steps back and said, “I’m fine.”
When the softness and warmth in his arms disappeared,

Hearing that, Audrey looked down.
Grace made the wound when she was struggling. It was urgent, so Audrey didn’t feel anything. Grace grabbed Audrey so hard that Audrey’s skin was broken. Blood oozed out.
“Audrey, sorry.”

Percival knew who caused the wound and said, “Grace has been spoiled by us since she was a child. She was arrogant and domineering. I apologize to you on her behalf. I’ll take you to the hospital to treat the wound on your arm.”
“No need to go to the hospital. It’s no big deal. I can just use a Band–Aid to treat it. As for the apology…” Audrey paused. She was calm. “The one who should apologize is Grace, not you. You don’t have to apologize to me on her behalf.”
“As her brother, I should…”
“I will only accept an apology from her,” Audrey said calmly but firmly.
Percival looked at Audrey, feeling somewhat surprised.
The one in front of him looked like Audrey, but she seemed to be
a different person.

“Thank you for what happened just now.” Audrey glanced at her phone. Having not gotten her reply, Penelope sent another message to ask about the situation. “I have to rush back to the design institute. I’m leaving.”
When Audrey was about to leave, Percival grabbed her wrist without thinking.
Audrey frowned and looked at him puzzledly. “Anything else?”
Meeting Audrey’s eyes, Percival was stunned. He immediately let go
of his hand. He touched his nose to hide the embarrassment in his eyes and said, “Audrey, I’ll send you
there.”
“Don’t bother. I can take a taxi.”
“It’s not a bother. Just consider it as my apology on behalf of Grace,” Percival said while walking across the street, “I’ll take Grace to apologize to you some other day.”
After taking two steps, Percival realized that Audrey didn’t follow him. He stopped and looked at her. He urged, “Audrey, let’s go. My car is not far away.”

Audrey pressed her lips and didn’t know how to refuse Percival. She had to walk toward him.
Percival didn’t lie. His car was parked not far away. Audrey leaned over to sit in the passenger seat and held the handle of the door. When she was about to close the door, she paused.
“Audrey, what’s wrong?”
Audrey looked up through the car window at the upper floors of Ains Group’s building. Ever since she almost had a car accident, she had had a feeling that someone was watching her.
The sunlight was so bright that she couldn’t see anything.
“Nothing.”
After a moment, she withdrew her gaze and closed the car door.
However, the inexplicable feeling did not dissipate.

Standing in front of the floor–to–ceiling window, Theodore looked down and watched Audrey get into Percival’s car and leave. He gradually turned cold.
