Audrey stayed in the hospital for ten days due to gastric bleeding. Hazel and Violet took turns taking care of her.
Hazel completed the discharge procedures and came in to see Audrey packing her clothes. She quickly stepped forward to take them. “Mrs. Ainsworth, you’ve just recovered. Why don’t you take a few more days off and rest at home?”
Audrey shook her head. “I’ve already been away from work for too long. Hazel, please take these things back for me.”
Hazel agreed but had a hesitant look on her face.
“Mrs. Ainsworth. Sir Ainsworth called earlier to ask about your condition. But as per your instructions, I didn’t mention that you were hospitalized. However…”
Audrey immediately understood what Hazel was trying to
convey.
She was worried about Audrey, and she couldn’t bear to see Audrey swallow this grievance.
Audrey smiled. “Hazel, I’m discharged from the hospital now. So, I’m fine. Letting Sir Ainsworth know will only make him worry.”
Audrey’s phone suddenly rang, and she glanced at the caller ID.

leave. Then, she answered the call. “Chloe, what’s wrong?”
“Audrey, help!”

Audrey paused as she walked out of the ward, but before she could ask, Chloe’s voice came over, “I had Cocido Madrileno last night, and it made me have diarrhea all night. I feel like I’m about to faint.”
“It’s so severe. Did you go to the hospital?”
“Yes, I’m already receiving treatment. But Ms. Whitmore asked me to help with the showcase at headquarters…” Chloe’s voice sounded weak and helpless. “Audrey, could you help me fill in for a bit? I’ll come over once I finish with the treatment.”
“Just focus on getting your treatment and rest. I’ll go instead.”
Audrey readily agreed, and shortly after hanging up, Chloe sent the necessary documents. Audrey looked down at her phone while walking towards the elevator.
However, because she was so engrossed in reading, Audrey accidentally bumped into someone.
The person’s folder fell to the ground.
“Sorry!” Audrey quickly picked it up and looked up at the person in front of her before handing it back.

He was wearing a white coat and a medical mask that only revealed his deep eyes and eyebrows. However, anyone could tell he was a handsome man.
“It’s okay.” He took it, his voice low and manly.
Audrey frowned slightly. Why did this voice sound a little familiar?
But with the exhibition time pressing, Audrey didn’t overthink about it. She apologized once again and hurried to the elevator.
The man turned around, watching Audrey’s figure from behind, his eyebrows slightly raised and his hands in his pockets.
“Dr. Collins, you’re here!” A young nurse ran over.
“What’s the matter?” The man retracted his gaze and turned to look at her.
“I have a medical order for you to sign.”
Upon hearing this, he took the medical order and removed his mask. The young nurse blushed slightly and timidly glanced at
his face.
“Dr. Collins, you seemed to be staring at the elevator just now. What did you see?” The nurse gathered her courage and brought up a topic.
Soon, the man signed his name and handed it back to the nurse.

With his usual gentle demeanor, he said, “Yeah, I just saw an acquaintance.”

Upon hearing this, the nurse took the initiative to continue the conversation, “An acquaintance? I thought you have been abroad all this time and don’t have many friends here!”
He smiled with a touch of aloofness in his eyes. Glancing at the closed elevator again, the man turned and left without answering the nurse’s question.
As one of the top ten design institutes in the country, June Architectural Design Institute holds an exhibition every six months to showcase its recent project designs.
On this day, both domestic and international emerging architectural designers would be present.
“Is Ava coming this time?”
“Ava? Wasn’t she at the groundbreaking ceremony of Carol Tower with Mr. Ainsworth from the Ains Group a few days ago? Well, that’s quite an honor for her!”
“I heard she has also studied from Mr. Sinclair. With her returning, it seems like our architecture industry is going to change! Also, our boss has been trying to reach out to her, hoping she’ll join June Architectural Design Institute!”

“Audrey, we need to return and report to the design institute. After the exhibition is over, can you help wrap things up with the members of the Second Group? You left this over there. I brought it back for you.” A colleague from the Third Group handed her a folder.”
It was the materials Audrey had printed earlier.
She reached out to take it and nodded in agreement.
Her colleague gave her a few more instructions before leaving the exhibition. Audrey opened the folder, and a table caught her
eye.
Suddenly, someone forcefully bumped into Audrey’s shoulder from behind.
Crash!
Audrey didn’t hold the folder firmly, causing the contents inside to scatter all over the floor.
