ore Accuses Her
As expected, Audrey’s fever subsided after a while.
However, due to drinking too much alcohol, she slept deeply and didn’t wake up until the next afternoon, feeling hungry.
“Hazel.”

Audrey walked downstairs and approached the bar in the dining
room.
“Mrs. Ainsworth, you’re awake! How are you feeling?” Hazel was tidying up, but when she heard the voice, she turned around and asked with concern.
Audrey placed her hand on her stomach, feeling the burning sensation that had not yet faded and a slight ache.
“No.” She shook her head. “How long did I sleep? Is there any food?”
“Mrs. Ainsworth, you’ve been asleep for almost a whole day.” Hazel put down what she was holding and said, “I made some soup. You had a fever from drinking last night, so it’s better to eat something light. I’ll bring it out.”
“Alright, thank you.” Audrey responded lightly, pressing her

“It’s no trouble at all! If it’s !
e for someone, it should be- Mr. Ainsworth! Are you going out?” Hazel served the soup while speaking, and as she looked up, she noticed Theodore coming down from the second floor.
In an instant, Audrey’s back stiffened. She turned her head and saw Theodore standing not far away, dressed in a tailored suit, exuding an imposing aura.
His voice was low, and he replied casually, “Hmm. I’m attending a groundbreaking ceremony. There will be a celebration banquet in the evening, so you don’t have to prepare my dinner.”
Groundbreaking ceremony…
Audrey suddenly remembered the conversation she had with Chloe a few days ago. She instantly understood which groundbreaking ceremony Theodore was referring to.
It was the groundbreaking ceremony for Carol Tower, designed primarily by Ava. Theodore was attending to show support for
Ava.
Suddenly, a bitter and rusty taste filled Audrey’s throat.
In the next moment, a severe cramp struck her stomach, causing her to groan in pain.
“Mrs. Ainsworth, are you alright? Your complexion looks terrible!” Hazel exclaimed worriedly.

Seeing this, Theodore squint
s eyes, and he was about to
walk over when his phone rang.
He glanced at the caller ID, then looked at Audrey and answered the call.
“Theodore, the ceremony starts at three o’clock. Are you on your way here?” Ava’s gentle voice came through the phone.
“Ava…”
“Theodore, did something delay you? It’s okay, I can wait for you as long as you can come.” Ava sensed his hesitation and hurriedly spoke, feigning composure.
“Theodore, I’m really happy that you agreed to attend. I never told you, but the initial intention behind designing this building was also for our baby. I hope our baby can see it completed when he is born.”
At the same time, Audrey told Hazel she was fine, and her voice reached Theodore’s ears.
Theodore’s voice turned solemn. “Don’t worry. I’ll be there on time.”
After hanging up the phone, he looked at Audrey, turned around, and was about to leave.

“Hazel, didn’t you hear her say she’s fine?” Theodore coldly interrupted her.
Hazel wore a worried expression. “Mrs. Ainsworth says she’s fine because she doesn’t want us to worry. The doctor said that in this condition, there is a high risk of gastric bleeding…”
“The doctor said to observe her for a night. She was fine last night. What? She just woke up and suddenly coincidentally has gastric bleeding when she sees me leaving?” Theodore sneered. “Audrey, I didn’t know you’ve also learned to pretend to be sick!”
With a bang, the front door abruptly closed as Theodore walked away without even looking back.
Audrey leaned on the bar, hearing Theodore’s accusation of her malingering, and laughed at herself.
In Theodore’s eyes, no matter what she did, it was all fake, carefully planned by her.
“Ke–ke…”
A surge of air and blood rushed up, and Audrey couldn’t suppress it, coughing several times in a row. She covered her mouth, and the taste of blood permeated between her lips and teeth.
Chapter 29 Theodore Accuses Her of Malin…. Hazel hurried back and saw the traces of blood on Audrey’s palm, widening her eyes in shock. “Mrs. Ainsworth!”
