Audrey stood up gracefully and replied, “Hello, Mr. Miller, I’m Audrey Beaumont.”
“Audrey Beaumont? This name sounds familiar.” Gareth thought for a moment and said, “Caleb is your…”
“Caleb is my brother,” Audrey said.
Audrey was born when Caleb was five years old. She was a girl, and both Nicholas and Caleb protected her very well and rarely took her to attend parties held by wealthy families. Therefore, people only knew that Nicholas had a daughter, but nobody had seen her.
Knowing that Audrey came from the Beaumont family, everyone present was a little surprised. Nicholas had been imprisoned two years ago, which caused a lot of uproar, and the Beaumont Group’s foundation was severely damaged as a result. It was still a secret why it could still hold on.

Gareth laughed and said nothing.
He remembered that Audrey had come with Theodore, but he was not sure how important she was to Theodore, so he dared not to be too presumptuous.
After a while, the waiters started serving the dishes.
The men were toasting each other. Their female companions. were smiling and drinking a few glasses with them from time to time, complimenting them.
Audrey sat among them, feeling out of place.
Halfway through the dinner, everyone present had already finished eating, and a new round of drinking began. In the private room, the person with the highest status and the most attention was Theodore, so naturally, he was surrounded by many people.
Audrey didn’t have much appetite and put down her fork after cating a few bites.
She always felt that someone was staring at her. She
subconsciously looked up at Theodore, but she didn’t expect to meet his calm eyes suddenly.

going to chat with them?” Gareth suddenly walked up to her side again.

Audrey didn’t speak and glanced at the wine glass in Gareth’s hand.
“It’s really hard for a young girl to chat with these grown men.” Gareth had a long and thin face. He wore a pair of glasses, looking gentle. “How’s Nicholas?
“I felt sad when I learned about his affairs. I’ve met Caleb a few times at several business parties in the past two years. I felt moved to see him working so hard at such a young age.” Gareth acted like an elder. While speaking, he rested a hand on Audrey’s shoulder, and his thumb rubbed against her skin.
“Thank you for your concern, Mr. Miller. My father is fine.” Audrey calmly stepped back and avoided Gareth’s hand.
Gareth squinted. He looked calm, as if he didn’t notice her avoidance.
He continued, “I’m only a few years older than Caleb. You don’t need to be so polite.”
Audrey smiled and suddenly felt that Gareth had some special characteristics to become the secretary–general of the Chamber of Commerce. At least he was very cheeky.

Gareth was over 20 years older than Caleb, but he actually had the nerve to say that..
However, no matter what, Audrey couldn’t offend Theodore and Gareth tonight.
She smiled, “You are right, Gareth.”
“Good! Have a drink together.” Gareth laughed. He immediately poured the wine and handed the glass to Audrey. Seeing that she didn’t take it, he deliberately pushed it forward and raised an eyebrow to signal her to take the glass.
Audrey glanced at him, then took the glass and drank the wine.
She gulped down the wine. Gareth gave a thumbs–up and said, “Ms. Beaumont, you are a good drinker.”
Audrey pressed her lips tightly.
Gareth was wrong. She couldn’t drink much, but she had joined the dinner, so she couldn’t avoid drinking.
Gareth then drank the wine in his glass and glanced at Theodore, who was not far away.
From the moment he approached Audrey and put his hand on her shoulder, Gareth had been observing Theodore’s reaction, trying to see if Audrey was important to Theodore.
The result was that Theodore watched them coldly as if he had
