of course, it’s normal for Galvinto act this way because the woman he loves so much is in possible critical condition.
Witnessing lum bearing like this brought bittemess to Kristel’s mouth. If the situation were switched, he was sure that Galvin would not come a
“What a painful truth.” Kriviel wanted to slap hensel to wake up once again.
Not long after, the dour in the operating room opened, and a middle–aged man emerged from Inside.
“Anytaily members of the patient?” he asked.
“Doctor, Lam the patient’s fiance. How is she?”
When Kristel heard this, instantly, her vision blurred by the tears moistening her eyes. Their divorce wasn’t finalized yet, but he had already announced he would
Well, she could not add the word ‘else” because the public didn’t know he was married.
Galvin finished his conversation with the doctor. Kristel composed herself and took the opportunity to share the information about the driver who hit Fiona
Despite Galvin’s anger a while ago, she still bravely approached him. Alas, the former only shoots a dagger look and yells at her.
“Get lost, Kristell you’re such an eyesore!”
As he stated this, Galvin pushed her to the side and walked past her. He didn’t listen to anything she said, causing her to feel devastated.
Kristel had attempted to explain one more time to Galvin, but the latter instructed Cory to arrange a room for Fiona in the VIP ward.
Kristel chuckled inwardly. It’s hopeless to hang around; thus, she decides to leave since Galvin doesn’t need the information that she has.
It was raining heavily outside, and Kristel didn’t notice it at first as she drowned in her sorrow. She let the rain pour on her, praying it would take all the pain away. Kristel hailed a cab. When she got one, she was already shivering from the cold. The cab driver feels pity to see her soaked in the rain.
Kristel smiled at the driver and thanked him for his kind heart.
The driver tumed off the air–conditioning so she would not feel cold all the way home. Since some places were flooding, it took awhile before she reached home Touched by the stranger’s little gesture, Kristel paid extra to the driver.
“Ma’am, this is too much.” The driver was grateful for her generosity but couldn’t take advantage of someone’s good heart.
However, Kristel insisted the driver accept it. “It’s okay. Please, accept it. You need it more than me.”
The cab driver was stunned by her words. Fighting the urge to cry, he wiped the comer of his eyes and said, “Thank you so much, ma’am. Actually, today is my wedding anniversary. I want to treat my wife to a decent restaurant. But it had rained heavily since morning, so I only picked up a few passengers. I don’t eam enough to buy a cake and flowers to celebrate our anniversary at home.”
The cab driver’s story moved Kristel. She smiled and gave her best wishes to the couple. She then asked, “How long have you been married?”
“We’ve been mamed for 25 years now.”
There is pure affection shown in the driver’s eyes. Kristel felt envy, but she was genuinely happy that there was true love in this world, just as she wasn’t fortunate to get one for herself.
Kristel smiled. She then opened her bag and tookout more cash.
“Ma’am, you don’t need to do this!” The cab driver was firm in refusing her.
“It’s okay.” Her only issue is her heart, but many people struggle to overcome hardships to meet their daily basic needs, and throwing a small but special celebration on a momentous occasion is such a privilege once in a lifetime for them.
Seeing the conflicted face of the cab driver, Kristel then added.
“Just think of it as an advance fare for every heartbroken woman you will find walking aimlessly in the rain.”
After stating this, Kristel exited the cab and ran from the small distance of her gate under the crying sky
The cab driver can do nothing when his passenger has entered the gate. He could no longer return the money. Thus, be muttered, “May this rain wash away your sorrow, beautiful angel“:
The moment he saw her standing in the rain without moving but in a trance. He could already sense that something was going on with her. Although he was already on his way home to see his wife, he wanted to take her home safely so she could cry her heart out.
Indeed, Kristel cried her heart out inside the massive bathtub, where memories of her and Galvin in the bathroom played in slow–motion flashbacks.
“Galvin, how can i get you out of my heart it, from then until now, I’ve only loved you?”
