Chapter 49
Jaden’s expression turned ugh. Beyond the shock and tension of being caught, there was fear ingrained in his bones.
They were both descendants of the Grant family, but calch had always been different..
In this generation, all the Grant men carried the initials “T“, except Caleb. His name was chosen separately by Benjamin himself, a sign of his favor. Caleb had been marked as the family’s successor from birth.
However, Jayden’s gaze on Yasmin was firm
Taking a deep breath, he straightened his spine and forced himself to meet Caleb’s gaze. “I get 50 thousand dollars in pocket money every month, and I’ll give it all to Yasmin!”
“Fitry thousand dollars isn’t even enough for Hermes exclusives,” Caleb said, the faint smile fading from his face. When he went cold, the weight of his presence was suffocating “Jinden, did no one teach you how to properly address your cousin–in–law?”
Jayden’s neck stiffened. “Caleb, you and Yasmin are getting divorced. You have no control over this!”
The moment the word “divorce” left jayden’s mouth, Caleb lunged forward.
He took his time, but his strides were swift. Before Jayden could react, a fisterashed into his chest, slamming him against the wall.
“Owd Damn it,Caleb!” Jayden winced in pain, baring his teeth like a comered wolf. He wanted to fight back, but he didn’t dare.
“You got a problem with that?” Caleb looked down at him, his expression unreadable.
Jayden clenched his jaw. He knew if he so much as muttered yes, he’d get hit again. But for Yasmin, he was willing to take a beating
“I don’t care! I like Ya-”
“Jayden!” Yasmin cut him off
Jayden’s eyes lit up with hope as he turned to her with hope
Caleb glanced at Yasmin too, his gaze darkening as he waited for her to speak.

Yasmin spat with disgust, “Don’t you know it’s no use crying over spilled milk?”
“Yasmin…” Jayden looked hurt. How could she be this heartless?
Yasmin picked up her purse, giving the two of them an impatient glance. “Move.”
She had no interest in staying here a second longer.
Caleb reached out to grab her wrist, but she avoided him with ease.
Yasmin shot him an annoyed look. “Caleb, isn’t keeping Jayden in check your responsibility as his older cousin and the future head of the family?”
Without waiting for a response, she walked away.
Caleb tumed back to Jayden, his irritation growing. He threw another punch at Jayden, sending him reeling
Yasmin’s footsteps faded in the hallway, leaving behind silence.
“Your allowance is suspended,” Caleb said, finally releasing Jayden. He would like to see how Jayden could take care of Yasmin now,
Jayden had been about to run after Yasmin, but Caleb’s words froze him in place. His face paled. “Caleb, that’s not fair! You can’t cut me off! That money belongs to me!”
“Jayden, faimess doesn’t exist in the adult world.” Caleb looked down at him like he was nothing more than an ignorant child. “The only reason you even have the right to stand here and talk to me is because of your last name”
If he weren LaGrant, Caleb wouldn’t have wasted a second on him.
Jayden clenched his fists, his teeth grinding together in frustration.
Cileb had been born with everything. How was he supposed to compete with that? But it didn’t matter. Because at least he had one thing Caleb didn’t–his love for Yasmin
Right now, Yasmin just wanted to go somewhere crowded, somewhere Jayden wouldn’t dare pull one of his reckless stunts. Unfortunately, the second she stepped into the garden, she ran straight into Jayden’s mother, who was dripping in jewels. Yasmin considered pretending not to see her, but before she could, Clare Harvey blocked her path.
