The Luna of Shadows
The grand hall of the Obsidian Howl stronghold was alive with fervor. Dark alphas, rogue warriors, and Tobias’s loyal followers filled the space, their howls and cheers reverberating off the stone walls. At the center of the chaos stood Tobias, a cruel smile curling his lips as he raised his hands for silence.
Beside him, Seraphine exuded venomous elegance. She wore a sleek black dress that shimmered like liquid night, the faint glow of her crescent mark a sinister counterpart to her beauty. She stood tall, her eyes scanning the room with a mixture of disdain and satisfaction.
Tobias took her hand, raising it high for all to see. “Tonight, we welcome a new Luna,” he announced, his voice booming. “One with the power, the cunning, and the ferocity to lead us into the future.”
The crowd erupted once more, their cheers primal and deafening. Tobias stepped closer to Seraphine, his lips curling into a dangerous grin. Without hesitation, he sank his teeth into her neck, marking her in a dark, twisted version of the Luna bond.
A wave of shadow energy rippled through the hall, the torches flickering violently. Warriors shivered, even the most loyal flinching at the sheer power radiating from the bond. Seraphine tilted her head as Tobias withdrew, his teeth stained with her blood.
“Is this what victory tastes like?” she purred, her voice silken and mocking.
Tobias’s hands rested possessively on her waist as he leaned closer. “And this is only the beginning, my Luna,” he murmured, his tone dripping with confidence.
Seraphine smiled, but her eyes glittered with something far colder. Tobias turned to the crowd, his attention on the celebration, but Seraphine’s mind was already moving. She surveyed the room like a chessboard, her pieces beginning to align.
As goblets of dark wine passed from hand to hand, Seraphine accepted one, sipping delicately. Her eyes fell on a warrior standing near the edge of the room, one of Tobias’s trusted lieutenants. She glided toward him, her movements graceful and predatory.
“Impressive display, wasn’t it?” she said smoothly, her voice low.
The warrior bowed slightly. “The Alpha has unmatched power,” he replied.
Seraphine leaned in, her lips brushing his ear as she whispered, “Tell me everything you know about his weaknesses. I intend to exploit them.”
The warrior hesitated, his loyalty warring with the hypnotic pull of her voice and the allure of her presence. Seraphine placed a hand on his chest, her crescent mark glowing faintly. “Do not make me ask again,” she murmured, her tone deadly sweet.
The warrior nodded slowly, and Seraphine’s lips curled into a satisfied smile. “Good,” she said, stepping back.
Across the room, Tobias raised another toast, oblivious to the betrayal already brewing at his side. Seraphine’s eyes followed him, her thoughts cold and calculating. “You’re a means to an end,” she thought, taking another sip of her wine. “And when that end comes, I’ll relish watching you fall.”
