The Forbidden Vision
The room was quiet as Isla lay in bed, her thoughts swirling like a tempest. The letters, her father’s words, and Eira’s cryptic warnings all weighed on her mind, refusing to let her rest. When sleep finally claimed her, it was anything but peaceful.
She found herself in an endless expanse of silver light, the air heavy with magic. The world around her was surreal, shifting like water, until a figure emerged from the mist—a woman cloaked in shimmering silver, her form glowing with an ethereal radiance.
Isla’s breath caught as she realized who stood before her. The Moon Goddess.
The goddess’s presence was overwhelming, her voice echoing through the space with both warmth and power. “Child of my bloodline, you walk a dangerous path.”
“I need your guidance,” Isla said, her voice trembling. “My children are threatened, and everyone around me has their own agenda. I don’t know who to trust.”
The Moon Goddess tilted her head, her glowing eyes piercing through Isla. “Not all who guide you do so for your benefit,” she said, her voice a blend of warning and sorrow.
Isla’s chest tightened. “Who are you talking about? My father? Eira?”
The goddess didn’t answer directly. Instead, the space around Isla shifted, fragments of visions swirling before her—her father standing over her mother, his face shadowed; Eira whispering to her father, her silver hair gleaming in the moonlight; and her own face, alight with power, surrounded by shadows that loomed ever closer.
“The answers you seek are tied to your past and your bloodline. But be wary, Isla. Even those who love you may act out of fear.”
Before Isla could ask more, the vision shattered like glass, and she awoke with a gasp, her chest heaving.
Her heart raced as she sat up, the goddess’s words echoing in her mind. “Not all who guide you do so for your benefit.”
Was it her father? Was it Eira? Or was the warning meant for someone—or something—else entirely?
