Chapter 86
I went to grandma Mira’s room, but I couldn’t find her there. She wasn’t in the living room, and she wasn’t in her room, where could she be! I decided to go check the garden, she spent time there sometimes. But why would she be in the garden by this time!
Moon had slept on the sofa, the television was still on. I carried him to his room and tucked him to bed. I walked outside, towards the garden, and she was there. She sat on a bench and was looking at pictures. I walked towards her.
“Grandma, what are you doing here by this time? You’re supposed to be resting” I said, peering my eyes to see what pictures she was looking at. 11 was pictures of the criminal, the crime scene and everything, the pictures which Quinn showed me.
I had taken them home and carelessly dropped them somewhere, She must have found them. She didn’t say anything but keep on staring intently at the pictures. She probably knows that Quinn’s incident was from his attempt to catch the criminal.
But why was she not saying anything? Why was she staring at the pictures like that?
“Grandma please say something. Let me take you inside.” I coaxed.
“This is the boy from the hit–and–run, right?” She asked,
“Yes, he is the one.”
“He seems, oddly, familiar. I feel like I have seen him, I feel like… I know him. She muttered.
1 kept quiet, not saying anything.
“Those gray eyes, I keep seeing them again and again. When I try to think deeper, my head aches” She went on.
1 stroked her shoulders comfortingly.
“Then don’t think about it, he’s gone now. Maybe you saw him on the road or something. I said.
“Quinn tried to find him right? I need to thank that child. See how he got himself seriously injured, he should have left it to the police.” She sighed.
“Let’s goi
› inside now, shall we? You don’t need to think of these things. Just eat, take your medications, sleep and rest well” I said.
“Oh, please. Don’t treat me like a kid, I’m just sixty–one and still agile.” She groaned and I laughed.
We went inside and I tucked her to bed. I went to my room with those pictures. I placed them on the bed and looked at them, the criminal was a young boy. He had soft features, his gray eyes stood out the most. He looked probably nineteen.
The fact he did what he did with the aid of someone makes me worried. He had been killed, but the mastermind was still out there. Probably in hiding or even near us. Veronica had always been my number one suspect, but I had no evidence.

According to the reports, the boy was a psychopath. And yet, someone had helped him out of the prison to harm grandma Mira, the person was probably after sr. I had to get bodyguards to protect both grandma Mira while she’s at home, and Moon while he’s at school.
I went to bed feeling worried. The next morning, I woke up to Ivy’s call
“Hello.” I said in a groggy Youn
“Ana, you need to come to the company immediately” She said hurriedly.
“Okay. What ivit What happened?” I asked.
“It’s not something I can explain over the phone. You need to be here.” She said in a tone which had me worried.

And please take care of them.”1 concluded before entering my car and zooming off to the company
As I drove, I had a bad feeling. I wondered what could be making Ivy panic like this, Have our stocks plummeted? Or did someone do something to our food! I thought.
I got to the company. Some employees were already around. Some of them looked panic–stricken, some looked sad, and some looked restless. Nevertheless, they greeted me as I passed.
The elevator seemed particularly slow today, I wish I could just teleport to my office. It finally stopped, and I ran to my office. Ivy was already there. typing furiously on the laptop.
She looked up at me and rushed towards me.
“Look at this. Maya’s bistro and diner is spreading false rumors about Blue ivy,” She said.
“Maya’s bistro“” I asked puzzled. Maya’s bistro and diner was one of the well–known food companies in New York owned by Maya Schwartz. Like other food companies, they own chains of restaurant within New York. They’re known for making one of the best french dishes,
As far as I knew. I didn’t have any connections with Maya’s Bistro. I’ve only ordered food from one of their restaurants only once. I didn’t even know the owner, apart from her name. So why were they attacking us?
“It’s owned by Maya Schwartz, a twenty–five years old. Her parents are dead and she is the only child. Her parents were important politicians before they died, so they left her quite a fortune. She built Maya’s bistro, because of her passion for food” Ivy explained.
“I read her magazines and live shows” She explained, before I could ask.
“But why is she attacking us?” I asked.
“Maybe because blue Ivy is coming up fast to the top. She probably sees us as competition.” She said.
“Competition indeed. That’s why she had to stoop to this.” I scoffed.
“I understand this might deal a blow to our company, but why were you p
you panicking that much?” I asked.
“If it were a lower company, I might be able to handle it. But this is Maya’s bistro, one of the leading companies with connections, if we don’t handle this well we would be dealt more than a huge blow. She deadpanned.
