“It’s nothing” I’ve probably had worse from him today than I’ve heard from anyone in my years of business and whether I liked it or not, I had to make peace with the fact that he was my nephew and a part of my family.
His mom once told me that she suspected that her child was sacitched at the hospital and she was given a different child with a computer brain and
sharp mouth and she believed it strongly even after I told her not to think that.
It was only after he did a full medical check for his school enrollment that she compared and his blood was a match with theirs.

“I went in search of a job today and 1 submitted my application to quite some companies that promised to give me a call. They all respected and gave me audience once dury noticed that I was your girlfriend” She rambled ou

“If you really want to darlp calm me down, then get a job without using my name or influence and show me what you can build in three months,” 1 said and walked out of the roum.
The only thing that can give me prace is having Ana talk to me again. Having her forgive me and talk to me. And until that happens, there’s nothing Veronica would do that would post my mind at peace.

“Why? Do you miss me?” I asked but he hissed.
“Some partners want to speak to you on zZoom They’re already in the meeting room waiting for you. I’ve sent you the link. Join now” He said and ended the call 1 wondered what the reason was for such an impromptu meeting
I opened my laptop and joined the meeting only to meet partners with happy faces.
“Good evening gentlemen, to what do I owe this impromptu meeting?” I asked trying to sound as natural and confident as possible but my mind was a whirlwind of doubt and fear.
What could the problem be this time around” I asked myself but maintained a slight smile.
These men were one of my biggest partners and if they decide to leave now, my compan would experience a downside.
“First, we must apologize for calling on such short notice but we need your help for something urgent” One began, his words calmed me down to a large extent that I couldn’t believe,
The way he spoke hinted that I wasn’t in any trouble neither was the company at fault
“It’s no problem at all, that’s why we are partners. What might that be?” I asked with keen interest and the second man continued.
“We are aware that at the previous conference that Mr. Roberts organized, you were the mastermind and you worked with a lady who makes the tastiest dishes, so we heard” I nodded at this. They were talking about Ana
“We have a big event coming up outside the country and we want you, of course, to organize this event for us and we want her to be in charge of the refreshments as well. This event is coming up next month but we just received the go–ahead to begin plans for the event. So would it be possible to arrange a meeting between the four of us” He finished with a question and a broad smile crossed my face.
“Of course! I’ll discuss it with her and set a meeting date soon.” I said and they nodded in satisfaction.
“Good job Mr. Quinn, we’re seeing the good work you’re doing with the stocks” They remarked and I smiled subtly.
The company’s stock was appreciating by the day and they were happy that their investment was doing well
After the call, I couldn’t help but mold a ball with my fist and scream a “yes” with a hushed tone.
This was the perfect time I needed, alone, outside the city of New York with Ara.
“What was the call about!” Fleur asked walking into the room without knocking
