Chapter 56
Terry
I raised a brow seeing him here. He was holding a little boy of about six years, with dark hair and brown eyes. The child must be his nephew, I thought. I looked at him coldly, not wanting to say anything. He looked at me too calmly, not saying anything.
I saw the sparkle in Moon’s eyes as he began to shift from side to side on seeing Quinn
“Yayyyy Mr Quinn is here. We are going to have so much fun.” He giggled.
“Mr Quinn, you didn’t tell me you were coming.” He pouted
“I, uh, actually didn’t know I was coming. My sister asked me to come on lier about it Quinn explained.
son’s behalf. If I was coming. I would have definitely let you
u know
“Hmm see. I believe you. Meet my Uncle Terry, you İ
party.” He introduced, while darting his eyes back and forth at both us seeing that none of us had made an attempt for a handshake or to talk
seen him at mom’s party Uncle Terry meet Mr Quinn, my friend from mom’s
Why aren’t you guys saying anything? Do you know each other before?” He asked.
“No we don’t.” Quinn and I chorused at the same. I raised a brow at this.
“Hmm, seems l
like you do. The brown eyed kid who had been silent suddenly spoke,
Quinn and I immediately threw him a glare.
“Then why are you still stiff after I’ve introduced you both Moon muttered.
I cleared my throat and stretched my arms towards Quinn, to satisfy Moon despite my dislike towards him.
“Nice to
to meet you Mr Quinn” I said.
He accepted the handshake and replied, “Nice to meet you too Mr Terry”
*So we kids wouldn’t be getting an introduction, eh.” The brown–eyed kid beside Quinn said, when I was about pull Moon and leave
1 creased my brow at this, looking at the kid. He sounds like trouble, and speaks like an adult. I would rather not waste any more time here.
“That’s true.” Moon said before pulling back
“I’m Moon”
“Junior” He answered cunly.
“Mr Quinn, you didn’t tell me you had a nephew. I would have made a friend” Moon said, facing Quinn
*I’m sorry, it didn’t cross my mind. Now you guys have met and introduced, you’ve taken a step Quinn replied, smiling.
I saw the brown–eyed ki
kid, Junior looking at Moon and looking back at Quinn simultaneously. From the way he was looking at them, he seemed to have noticed something. I gritted my teeth, this kid seemed to be very saurt
“Let’s go Moon, the games would soon begin. I said, taking Moon’s hands.
-We can p
can go together.” Junior said, with a mischievous grin.
This kid was trouble, I was sure he figured out that Quinn and I weren’t meeting for the first time. I looked at him once more, wondering if he was a kid or a reincarnated ancestor.
“Or can’t we Moon?” He asked, facing Moon
“Yes we can” Moon agreed, oblivious of what was going on
He took Moon lands, leading the way as Quinn and I followed behind. I could see Moon laughing as Junior said something to him. We walked in silence, before Quinn suddenly said,
I looked at him to check if he had grown a hum or something.
“I apologize for the incident with Veronica. He went on.

“It wouldn’t happen again, I made sure of that.” He continued.
I scoffed, Why was he apologizing to me! He was apologizing to the wrong person. Ana’s career would have been ruined, if she hadn’t seen smart enough to detect and correct it. And what would happen to Veronica! Nothing, she would go scot–free.
Well, if it has happened. I definitely wouldn’t allow her to go scot–free even if she was the president’s daughter. It seemed like Ana was not giving him a chance to speak with her.
“You’re apologizing to the wrong person. If you’re truly sorry, go apologize to Ana and get Veronica to apologize to her.” I said sternly.
I could see the conflicted emotions in his eyes. I was right, it seemed Ana wasn’t giving him audience. I smiled subtly at this.
We got to the venue, and Junior and Moon were already seated, chatting like old friends who were just meeting since a long time.
I was somewhat glad to see this. Moon did not quite get along with other kids, according to him, he couldn’t feel the “vibes” from them. But here he was playing Quinn’s nephew. It seemed anything relating to Quinn made him happy.
I could see the young female waitresses around us, looking in our direction and blushing. I was seated beside Quinn, and they were looking at both
of us
“Oh my! Isn’t that Terry young the food god and Quinn Winfrey the infamous billionaire? They’re more handsome in person.” One gushed.
“Damn! I wish they would look at me. If they do, I would die from excitement Another said
“Look at their cold faces, Terry young has a boyish look. Looking at them makes me wet.” Another added.
I hardened my eyes and gritted my teeth hearing this. I wondered if they knew that we could clearly hear what they were talking about in hushed tones. I looked at the one who had said that, and gazed at her coldly. She seemed to notice, but she instead blushed and scampered away. I didn’t expect that, I thought she would be scared instead
“Maybe you should try squinting your eyes more, and harden your face a little more. You expected her to be scared, but honestly not even a kid would be scared of your glare.” Quinn said out of the blue.
Wow, so he was now giving me lectures on glaring!
“What do you mean?” I asked, raising a brow
“I gave her a cold glare, and she scampered away. But when she looked at your so–called glare, she blushed. What I mean is that, you look more like a lost puppy” He chuckled, with a neutral expression on his face.
Wait a minute, did he just call me a puppy!
“What did you just call me! I seethed.
