She came in an hour later after I was done eating, and this time, I was clothed as well, carrying my plates off and walking 

away. 

The rest of the day blurred together as I drifted in and out of sleep. 

Every time I moved, the ache between my legs reminded me of Silas and what he had done to me.

The next morning, I stood in front of the mirror, checking out my outfit. 

I wore a short plaid skirt, fishnet tights, a white blouse tucked in neatly, and a cropped cardigan that hugged my figure just right.

Silas had someone shop for me. and for once, they had decent taste. 

When I walked downstairs, I felt his eyes on me before I even say him.

His darkened gaze met mine, his jaw tightening as he raked his eyes over my outfit. 

Just what I expected when I had picked the outfit, Silas finding it hard to take his eyes off me.

“Who picked these out for you?” he demanded, his gaze flicking to the skirt as if it personally offended him. 

It seemed as if it took everything in him to hold himself back from tearing the skirt off my body and burning it. 

I shrugged. “I don’t know. You didn’t ask for my opinion when you had someone shop for me,” 

I walked past him again, brushing close enough for the scent of los cologne to linger on me.
