Katrina’s POV
His words sent shivers down my spine, making my heart race at what seemed to be a million miles per hour.
I stood there, feeling the heat rising in my chest as Silas grip tightened around me.
I was tempted to melt into his hold, to ignore everything and just let go, but I didn’t.
Glaring furiously at him. I pulled my arm out of his hands, turning around to storm off.
“Where are you going?” He growled, his hand shooting out to grab my arm.
Silas pulled me against his chest and for some reason, my heart started to race.
What was this undeniable attraction I had for him? It was unhealthy, and yet, like a moth to a flame, I couldn’t fight it.
But I did want to fight, to push him away, but my body betrayed me. I hated him,
I hated that he made me feel this way.
“LET ME GO” I growled, thrashing against his grip.
He had asked me to try and leave, and I was going to do just that
“Why don’t you go fuck her while you’re at it?” I wasn’t sure where the words came from, but they slipped past my lips before I could stop them.
His hands moved, catching my chin with a force that made my neck tilt backward. He pressed his fingers into my cheeks. parting my lips open.

It seemed as if he wasn’t even paying attention the first time and so I had to repeat all that I had said

I tried to turn, to walk away, but his grip was on me again. His hands wrapped around my arm, pulling me back. I stumbled against him, my body crashing into his chest.

My breath hitched but I tried to remain focused.
“Especially not you. My voice was thick with emotion, every word feeling like a punch in the gut.

As I stood there, struggling to catch my breath, I felt something shift inside of me.
